Rune Effect: Attempts to step through the shadows and reappear behind your enemy and increases movement speed by 70% for 3 sec.

Rune Location: At level 30, you will receive a letter from "C" in your mailbox, asking you to undertake a mission that is more complicated than your previous one in Shadowfang Keep. To begin, travel to

Pyrewood Village

in Silverpine Forest and find the

Dead Drop chest

  (located at 47.1 71.1) like you previously did for the Deadly Brew Rune. Loot the chest to begin the quest,

The Eye of Bhossca.

The quest requires you to find a disguise on the grounds of the Scarlet Monastery in Tirisfal Glades. Go to the stable behind the monastery and find a box containing the disguise. Put the disguise on and enter the outer area of the Scarlet Monastery. Use PickPocket on a Scarlet Scryer to obtain the Scryer's Key. Then, go to the library wing and loot a

sparkling box in the Athenaeum

. Next, go to the Graveyard wing and sit on a bench in the Forlorn Cloister, then cross the room to sit on the bench on the other side. Turn right and loot a

sparkling chest inside one of the mausoleum niches

. After that, return to the Library wing and go to the

Gallery of Treasures

. Loot your final box for the Eye of Bhossca. Return to the Dead Drop in Pyrewood Village and place the Eye in the chest. When you return to a major city, check your mail to receive a lockbox. Finally, return to the Dead Drop and loot the Shadowstep Rune.

Rune Effect: Throw a shuriken at your enemy dealing damage equal to 25% of your Attack Power, and also strike up to 4 additional nearby targets. Awards 1 combo point.

Rune Location: Go to the

Swamp of Sorrows

and head to the coordinates (42, 30). There, you will find a

Dart Trap attached to a tree

, which will fire a Poison Dart if you step too close to it. To disable the trap, use the

Disarm Trap skill

on the Dart Trap and claim your reward- Shuriken Toss Rune.

Update 20FEB, 2024: Shuriken Toss bounce range reduced to 10 yards (from 15 yards).

Rune Effect: Attacks made while stealthed and for 6 seconds after breaking stealth cause an additional 10% damage.

Kurzen's compound

located in the

northern part of Stranglethorn Vale

. Once you reach the compound, you will notice a

stone tower and a cave

on the hillside towards the north. Enter the stone tower and look for

Wendel Mathers

, who is trapped in a cage. Talk to him, and he will ask you to find a key to set him free. You can find the key by

pickpocketing the Kurzen mobs

located in the cave. While you are in the cave, make sure to loot the chest as well, but keep in mind that you need 125 lockpicking to open it. After getting the key, go back to the tower, and

free Wendel Mathers

. Once you have freed him, return to

Booty Bay

, and find

Captain Aransas.

You will find her on the lower fishing platform at (27.8 76.6.) Talk to her to get the Master of Subtlety rune.

Rune Effect: Your Ambush and Backstab hits unbalance your target, increasing the time between their melee attacks by 10%, and reducing movement speed by 50% for 8 sec.

Rune Location:Travel to Deadwind Pass and meet with the

Dalaran Agent located at Ariden's Camp (52, 35)

. The agent will provide you with

Ariden's Sigil

. Once you have it, equip the Sigil or team up with another player who has it equipped. You will then need to use the Sigil to

Reveal Dark Rider

and hunt down 7 Dark Rider Elites. Killing the Elites while having the Sigil equipped will reward you with different

Dalaran Relics

. Keep your eyes open for the Dark Presence buff, which indicates that a Dark Rider Elite is nearby. The Dark Riders can be found at different locations across the following areas:

Deadwind Pass (43, 29), Duskwood (23, 47), Swamp of Sorrows (69, 28), Arathi Highlands (60, 40), Badlands (58, 54), The Barrens (52, 36), and Desolace (65, 25).

Once you have obtained all 7 Dalaran Relics, return to the Dalaran Agent and turn in each reward quest for experience points and some silver. When you have returned all 7 relics, you will receive Waylay Rune as a final reward.

Rune Effect: You have a 20% chance to gain 15 Energy every time you deal melee damage with your off-hand weapon.

Rune Effect: You gain 2 Energy every time you deal a melee or ranged critical strike.

Rune Effect: When any player in your party critically hits with a spell or ability, you gain a combo point on your current target. This effect cannot occur more than once every second.
