WoW SoD: Phase 3 Hunter Rune&Locations

Rune Engraving is a new system in Wow Season of Discovery that allows players to use skills added in future DLCs. It brings a lot of excitement and changes to the gameplay of WoW Classic 60s.

Nothing is more remarkable for Hunter players than having access to some of the future DLC skills in the early game. We can combine these new runes in-game to create a new Hunter Build, with a total of 24 runes available so far. This opens up endless possibilities and promises an exhilarating experience.

This article will provide detailed information on the 6 runes for Hunter in phase 3 and where or how to obtain them. We will keep updating this page with more details about the Hunter Runes and their locations as they become available.

Rune Effect: Increases the damage done by Explosive Shot and all your damaging traps by 10%. Additionally, the initial damage of Explosive Trap and the total periodic damage of your Immolation Trap are increased by 50% of your melee Attack Power.

Rune Location: This rune can be purchased for 1 gold and 60 silver, but it requires Friendly reputation with the Emerald Warders.

Rune Effect: Consumes all applications of Frenzy from your pet, increasing your ranged attack speed by 3% and granting 4 Focus to your pet for each application of Frenzy consumed. Lasts 20 sec.

Your pet gains Frenzy each time it uses a Basic Attack, increasing its melee attack speed by 6% for 10 sec, stacking up to 5 times.

Rune Location: Head to Searing Gorge and carefully walk along the long branch suspended above the gorge at coordinates (55, 51). Upon reaching the Storm Crow's Nest, loot a Storm Crow Egg, which will cause an Enraged Storm Crow to spawn. Kill this mob to loot the rune.

Rune Effect: Raptor Strike increases damage done by Raptor Strike and Mongoose Bite by 10% for 15 sec, stacking up to 5 times. Subsequent doses do not extend the duration of this effect.

Rune Location: In Tanaris, at coordinates 43, 33, you need to kill the level 43 elite "Zopilote." He will drop the rune you need.

Rune Effect: Each time one of your traps is triggered, your next Shot (except Scatter Shot) ability within 20 sec costs no mana and does not incur a cooldown.

Rune Location: Accept the quest from [Shadowfang Messenger] at the

Emerald Sanctuary in Felwood

. This initial quest cannot be shared; each player must pick it up individually. Head to the Hinterlands and kill elite trolls in Jintha'Alor to obtain [Whispering Wildlands Potion]. Next, go to Razorfen Downs and clear the area around the "Amnennar the Coldbringer." Drink the Whispering Wildlands Potion to summon [Agamaggan's Spirit]. Speak with him to receive a quest and [Agamaggan's Howl]. Only one player needs to drink the potion to summon him.

You will need to kill two monsters in three different dungeons to summon a spectral creature. When you trigger it, you will receive a chat message: "You feel the presence of a shadow." Use Agamaggan's Howl near the spectral creature to turn a level 52 elite ancient tree hostile. Each tree drops 1 [Wildlands Tribute]:

Zul'Farrak:

Clear Gahz'rilla and summon a spectral spider to call forth [Frenzied Ancient].

Maraudon:

Clear Princess Theradras' area and summon a spectral raptor in the water to call forth [Frenzied Ancient].

Blackrock Depths:

Defeat all three bosses (including the Ring of Law) and summon a spectral lizard on the Dark Iron Highway (leading to Bael'Gar) to call forth [Frenzied Ancient].

Once you have collected all three Wildlands Tributes, return to [Shadowfang Messenger] to receive your rune.

Rune Effect: Increases your chance to dodge by 20% and your pet's chance to dodge by 9%. In addition, reduces the cooldown of your Kill Command and Flanking Strike abilities by 50%.

Rune Location: Head to the yeti cave in Feralas, then proceed to the back of the cave (coordinates 53, 60). There, you will find a [Gordunni Cub]. Feed the cub a banana (Tel'Abim Banana or Soft Banana Bread, etc.), and within 10 minutes, bring them to the [Gordunni Queen] located at (coordinates 59, 58).

Rune Effect: Reduces the cooldown on Rapid Fire by 80%, Rapid Fire now also grants 40% increased melee attack speed, and your next Shot ability within 20 sec after killing a target worth experience or honor deals 20% increased damage.

Rune Location: Searing Gorge: Head to the cave located west of the flight point, with the entrance near coordinates 22, 36.

Deep within the cave, you will find a weathered carving. Click on it to accept a quest that will guide you to the Blasted Lands.

In the Blasted Lands, speak with Bloodmage Lynnore, located near the road on the west side of the entrance to Stonard, at coordinates 50.6, 14.2. She will instruct you to kill "Shadow Covenant" members to obtain 5 [Hellfire Links]. You can find the targets along the east or west walls of the area.

After completing the task, deliver the items to Bloodmage Lynnore. You will receive a new quest requiring you to collect [Fel Energetic Blood] from a felhound. She will provide you with a Hellfire Lasso to weaken the creature.

Once done, return to Bloodmage Lynnore. You will receive a Hellfire Lasso and a rune.
