Every Warlock Rune&Location in WoW Season of Discovery

Wow Season of Discovery is bringing warlock players more fun with wow sod warlock runes. Here's where to find and discover all of them.

There will be 12 distinct runes in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 1 for every class in the game. We will update this page once we have more details about the warlock runes and their locations.

Effect: Rain of Fire also leaves a Lake of Fire on the ground that increases all Fire damage you deal and your Demon pet deals to affected enemies by 40% for 15 sec.

Locations: 

Alliance and Horde:

Zixil, who can be found traveling along the main road in the Hillsbrad Foothills, is where you will need to buy Demolition Explosives. After that, you'll need to go to Durnholde. Retain and employ the object on the debris pile (80, 41) and take advantage of the chest holding the rune.

Effect: Your Drain Life is no longer channeled, lasts 15 sec with a 15 sec cooldown, costs 100% more mana, and heals you for 50% more each time it deals damage.

Locations: 

Gnome:

To obtain the rune, you must purchase and consume a Malevolent Pie from Greishan Ironstove in Loch Modan (27.3, 61.9). 

Orc:

You must use the Health Funnel ability to siphon life until your health drops to zero while standing on the Altar of Thorns in the Barrens (58, 27). You'll get the rune and be fully healed again. 

Undead:

To obtain the rune, you must use the Curse of Recklessness ability on a Sadistic Fiend that is hidden in a cave to the east of Silverpine Forest (56, 45). 

Human:

To obtain the rune, you must kill the Drak Strand Fanatics in Darkshore (57, 25). 

Effect: Increases the amount drained by your Drain Life and Drain Soul spells by an additional 6% for each of your Warlock Shadow effects afflicting the target, up to a maximum of 18% additional effect.

Locations: 

Human:

To get an Innocent Shard, you must use Drain Soul to drain a creature. After that, to obtain a Wanted Shard, you must empty Hogger. After obtaining both shards, proceed to Damien Kane, located in the Goldshire Inn's basement. 

Orc:

To get an Innocent Shard, you must use Drain Soul to drain a creature. After that, to obtain a Wanted Shard, you must drain Gazz'uz. After obtaining both shards, proceed to Razor Hill to confront Darmak Bloodhowl. 

Undead:

To get a Pure Shard, you must use Drain Soul to drain an animal. After that, you must empty Maggot Eye to obtain a Wanted Shard. After obtaining both shards, proceed to Undercity's Denton Bleakway. 

Gnome:

To get a Pure Shard, you must use Drain Soul to drain a creature. Then, to obtain a Wanted Shard, you must drain. After obtaining both shards, proceed to Kharanos' Gaklik Voidtwist.

Effect: Increases the melee and spell critical strike chance of you and your pet by 10%.

Locations: 

Alliance:

The Dead Acolyte by Jasperlode Mine (56.8, 57.0) must be looted. Afterward, you must bring the artifact to Goldshire's Warlock trainer before returning to the Dead Acolyte. You'll get a Blood Offering after you use Powerless Artifact. After that, you will have ten minutes to run to Stormwind and find Gakin the Darkbinder so he can give you the rune. 

Horde:

The Dead Acolyte by Scarlet Monastery (76.6, 44.4) must be looted. After that, you must bring the artifact to Brill's Warlock trainer before returning to the Dead Acolyte. You'll get a Blood Offering after you use Powerless Artifact. After that, you will have ten minutes to run to Undercity's Carendin Halgar so he can give you the rune.

Effect: Drain Life, Drain Soul, Shadowbolt, Shadow Cleave, Searing Pain, Incinerate, and Haunt refresh the duration of your Corruption on the target back to its maximum duration.

Alliance:

After obtaining Honored, this rune can be acquired for 4 Gold and 50 Silver from the Azeroth Commerce Authority faction. 

Horde:

After obtaining Honored, this rune can be bought for 4 Gold and 50 Silver from the Durotar Supply and Logistics faction.

Effect: 14% of base mana 30 yd range, 2.25-sec cast. Burn your enemy for (222/100*) to (258/100*) damage and increase all Fire damage you deal by 25% for the next 15 sec.

Locations: 

Alliance & Horde:

In a cave southeast of the Redridge Mountains (77, 85), a Level 23 Elite Orc Incinerator named Gar'im drops this rune.

Effect: Surge with fel energy, increasing your pet's and your own dodge chance by 30%, and your chance to critically strike with all attacks by 30%. Lasts 6 sec.

Locations: To obtain the rune, you must harvest the materials again, so be careful not to lose the tag on the summoning mob. 

Undead:

To progress, you must gather an Ominous Tome, which skeletons in Agaman's Mill will drop.You will then require Gnoll Blood, which can be obtained from any gnoll in Garren's Haunt.

The last item you will need is Wolf Jawbone, which any Darkhound can drop in Tirisfal Glades.After obtaining every item, proceed to the Undercity sewers and call forth a demon that must be slain to obtain the rune.  

Gnome:

To proceed, you must acquire an Ominous Tome, which Frostmane Shadowcasters drop in the troll caves west of Brewnall Village.You will then require Wendigo Blood, which can be dropped by any Wendigo. The last item you'll need is a Wolf Jawbone, which any wolf can drop in Coldridge Valley.After obtaining every item, proceed to Shimmer Ridge and call forth a demon that must be slain to obtain the rune. 

Orc:

To proceed, you must acquire an Ominous Tome, which Voodoo Trolls drops in Echo Isles.You will then require Makrura Leg, which any Makrura mob can drop. Kul Tiran Skull is the last item you will need; it can be dropped by any Kul Tiran mob in Tiregarde Keep.Once you have everything you need, go to the circle by Zalazane to summon a demon, which you must slay to obtain the rune.  

Human:

You must collect an Ominous Tome, which Kobolds in the Jasperlode Mine drop. You will then require Gnoll Blood, which can be dropped by any gnoll.Wolf Jawbone is the last item you'll need; any wolf or prowler can drop it. After obtaining every item, proceed to The Slaughtered Lamb Inn in

Stormwind's Mage Quarter

to the summoning circle. There, you must summon a demon you must kill to obtain the rune. 

Effect: Your pet's critical strikes apply the Demonic Pact effect to your party members for 45 sec. Demonic Pact increases spell damage and healing by 10% of your spell damage or (Level / 2), whichever is higher. Does not work on Subjugated demons.

Go to Ratchet in the Barrens and talk to Grizzly at the Inn. 

assemble the materials listed below to finish his quests:

24x Fish Oil

(Naga and Murlocs from Hillsbrad Foothills, for example). Dark Iron Dwarfs in wetlands drop

20x Dark Iron Ordinance

. 

16x Shredder Turbocharger

(Engineering Crafted). A drop from Sneed in Deadmines is the recipe.

Effect: 100% of base mana, Instant cast. Transform into a Demon, increasing Armor by 500%, reducing the chance you will be critically hit by 6%, increasing your threat by 50%, increasing mana gained from Life Tap by 100%, transforming the functionality of some of your abilities, and granting some new abilities:

Searing Pain

: Now instant.

Shadow Bolt:

Becomes Shadow Cleave, a Shadow melee attack that hits up to 3 nearby enemies, but has a 6 sec cooldown.

Fear:

Replaced with Menace.

Taunts.

the target to attack you, but has no effect if the target is already attacking you.

Demon Charge

. Charge an enemy and stun it for 1 sec.  Cannot be used in combat.

Demonic Howl. 

Forces all nearby enemies to focus attacks on you for 6 sec.

Alliance & Horde:

At the summit of the Tower of the Ilgalar, situated in the Redridge Mountains, you must loot the Orb of Des.

Next,

at the summit of Darkshore's Tower of Althalaxx, you must loot the Bough of Altek.

The Orb of Soran'ruk

is a quest that you must finish. Doan Karhan in the Barrens is the source (coordinates 49, 57). You must bring the following items to Doan Karhan to complete the quest: -

Three Soran'ruk Fragment

: This item drops outside the raid and inside the Blackfathom Deeps 10-man raid.-

Big Soran'ruk Broken

: This item is in the

Shadowfang Keep

dungeon. You'll be given access to The Conjuring, the sequel quest. The quest's goal is to gather ten times as much Blood of the Legion from the demons at Demon Fall Ridge, located north of Ashenvale.

Next,

engage with the altar to initiate a ceremony. You'll have to use Drain Soul to vanquish waves of summoned demons while standing in a purple rune. Mysterious Traveler, the next quest, will be given to you. Complete the Barrens quest. The next quest you'll get is called

Raszel Ander

, and it will grant you Metamorphosis Rune.

Effect: Your Shadow Bolt now strikes up to 5 targets within a chain distance of 10 yards, but for 20% reduced damage. 

Gnome:

At the ruins in Loch Modan (72, 69), you must use a shadow spell to destroy the Demonic Remains.

After that, you'll have to battle a demon that drops the rune. 

Human:

On the Westfall coast, you must cast Drain Soul on Old Murk-Eye, who will drop the item Soul of the Sea. After obtaining the item, you must use it by going to the Medusa Statue (26, 70). There will be a level 20 mob that, when killed, drops the rune.

Orc:

To obtain the Soul of Greed, you must cast Drain Soul on Supervisor Lugwizzle in the Barrens (56, 9). To obtain the rune, you will next need to go to a Hungry Idol (57, 10) and use the item there. 

Undead:

To drop a Tortured Soul, you must eliminate enemies in Beren's Peril, which is situated in Silverpine Forest. Once acquired, summon a level 20 enemy by using the item and your Life Tap ability. You will obtain the rune from it after it is killed.

Effect: 7% of base mana, 30 yd range, 2.5 sec cast, 12-sec cooldown. Sends a bolt of chaotic fire at the enemy, dealing (*522/100) to (*662/100) Fire damage. Chaos Bolt always hits, cannot be resisted, and its knowledge causes all your Fire spells to pierce through absorption effects. Chaos Bolt gains a high chance to be resisted when used against monsters 4 or more levels above your level.

Locations: 

Undead:

There is a frozen Murloc in Tirisfal Glades, on the northwest side of the Great Lake (coordinates 66.3, 40.0). To thaw the Murloc out, you must spam fire abilities. The Murloc will drop this rune as soon as it has thawed completely. 

Orc

: Frozen Makrura is located in Durotar at coordinates 58.8 and 45.6. To obtain the rune, you will require more than two Warlocks and pets to spam Immolate until the ice breaks. 

Human

: At Stonecairn Lake in Elwynn Forest, there is a Frozen Murloc. To obtain the rune, you will require more than two Warlocks and pets to spam Immolate until the ice breaks. 

Gnome

: Gol'bolar Quarry in Dun Morogh is home to a frozen trogg. To obtain the rune, you will require more than two Warlocks and pets to spam Immolate until the ice breaks.

Effect: 12% of base mana, 30 yd range,Instant cast, 12-sec cooldown. Unleash a ghostly soul on an enemy, dealing (*251/100) to (*295/100) damage, and increasing all Shadow damage over time you deal to that target by 20%. When the Haunt ends or is dispelled, you will be healed for all the damage it dealt to your target.

Locations: 

Orc:

To obtain the rune, you must accept Nartok's quest for Stolen Power and locate a Waterlogged Stashbox beneath the water at the end of the cave (42.9, 54.4). 

Undead:

you must find a Lost Stash in the Spider Cave (24.6, 59.4) and pick up The Lost Rune quest from Maximillion. 

Human:

To obtain the rune, you must accept Drusilla La Salle's quest for Stolen Power and locate the chest (52, 52) containing the rune. 

Gnome:

To obtain the rune, you must accept Alamar Grimm's quest for Stolen Power and locate the Rockjaw Footlocker (26, 72).
