WoW SoD: Phase 3 Paladin Rune&Locations

Rune Engraving is a new system in Wow Season of Discovery that allows players to use skills added in future DLCs. It brings a lot of excitement and changes to the gameplay of WoW Classic 60s.

Nothing is more remarkable for Palandin players than having access to some of the future DLC skills in the early game. We can combine these new runes in-game to create a new Palandin Build, with a total of 24 runes available so far. This opens up endless possibilities and promises an exhilarating experience.

This article will provide detailed information on the 7 runes for phase 3 Palandin and where or how to obtain them. We will keep updating this page with more details about the Palandin Runes and their locations as they become available.

Rune Effect: Gain the Hammer of the Righteous ability: Hammer the current target and up to 2 additional nearby targets, causing 3 times your main hand damage per second as Holy damage.

Rune Location: Once you get the fanaticism rune, will start the quest "Crucial Materials". First, head to Felwood, coordinates 43, 57. You will find a climbable rope that leads you to Eonys. Talk to him and go through all the dialogue options, then talk to [Gregory]. Once you have completed all dialogue options with him, he will provide you with a quest. You will need to gather the following materials:

Blazing Infernal Core: These can be obtained by killing Infernals and Raging Felbeasts (green fire elementals) in Felwood.

Glimmering Tomb Dust: This can be picked up from the tomb moss after defeating Princess Theradras in Maraudon.

Triple Distilled Molten Ale: Purchase this from "Plugger" in the Grim Guzzler bar in Blackrock Depths for 2 gold 50 silver.

Symbol of Faith: Found in Southshore at coordinates 67, 14.

After collecting all the items, return to [Gregory] to complete the quest and obtain the rune.

Rune Effect: Hammer of Wrath is now instant and the cooldown on Hammer of Wrath is reset each time it damages an enemy below 10% health.

Rune Location: This rune requires Friendly reputation with the Emerald Wardens and costs 1 gold 60 silver to purchase.

Rune Effect: Reduces the cooldown on Exorcism and Holy Wrath by 50%, and Holy Wrath can now be cast at any target and will Stun Undead and Demon targets for 2 sec.

Rune Location: Collect energy from four demonic crystals scattered around the world. Each crystal requires a specific material to gather energy (a total of four materials). Locations are as follows:

Feralas: 57, 60

Hinterlands: 48, 59

Azshara: 22, 79

Searing Gorge: 55, 65

Completing these tasks will summon an elemental creature, a level 47 Arcane Elemental that is immune to arcane damage. This is a challenging fight even for level 50 players; it is advisable to form a group if possible.

Rune Effect: Your Holy Light spell reduces the cast time of your next Holy Light spell by 0.5 sec. Lasts 15 sec.

Rune Location: You need to be teleported to the platform near Vidar Cogsworth (the four-direction locator NPC), located at coordinates 84.2, 43.8 (via Booty Bay teleport or portal at the base of the mountain). Once near Vidar, you can see a crashed flying machine on a pillar across the valley, roughly around 81, 42.

There is no clear path to this location. You need to set "Gadgetzan" as "At War" in your reputation window. Prepare to attack one of the three mechanical pets named "Tower Defense Automaton." Position yourself carefully by standing at the cliff edge closest to the crash site, with your back facing the crashed flying machine's location. When the automaton approaches, attack it, and it should knock you to the pillar with the crashed flying machine (if executed correctly, you won't lose health; if not, you'll need to try again).

Here, you'll find Friggs Hizzlewrench with 30% health remaining. Paladins should use Holy Light to heal him until you receive the "Feeling much better, thank you!" spell effect, after which he will stand up. Talk to him, and you will get the option to "Touch Friggs and grant him your Blessing of Protection." He will thank you and direct you to visit his brother in Booty Bay.

Travel to Booty Bay and find Riggz Hizzlewrench (the vendor selling recovery items) at coordinates 28.4, 75.8. You can purchase the rune for 1 gold.

Rune Effect: Increases the damage prevented by your Blessing of Sanctuary by 100%, and increases damage done by your Blessing of Sanctuary by 30% of your shield block value.

Rune Location: Use Agamaggan's Howl near the ghostly monster to make a level 52 elite Ancient of War hostile. Each Ancient drops 1 [Offering of the Wilds]:

Zul'Farrak:

Clear Gahz'rilla and summon a ghostly spider to call forth the [Enraged Ancient of War].

Maraudon:

Clear the Princess Theradras area and summon a ghostly raptor in the water to call forth the [Enraged Ancient of War].

Blackrock Depths:

Defeat all three bosses (including the Ring of Law). On the way to Bael'Gar, summon a ghostly lizard in the Black Iron Highway to call forth the [Enraged Ancient of War].

Once you have collected all three Offerings of the Wilds, return to the [Shadowfang Messenger] to receive your rune.

Rune Effect: Increases your critical strike chance with Holy spells by 18%. In addition, your critical healing spells heal the target for 60% of the healed amount over 12 sec.

Rune Location: In Stormwind Cathedral, players should speak with [Righteous Ionas], then with [Pure Katharine]. You will receive the quest "The Mysterious Merchant," which will lead you to Theramore.

Travel to Theramore and enter the inn. The merchant you need to confront is located on the small steps near the innkeeper on the first floor.

Kill the merchant and loot his body to obtain the crucial letter.

Return to Stormwind Cathedral and turn in the quest to receive your rune.

Rune Effect: Your Consecration damage can now be critical strikes, and damage from your Exorcism, Holy Shock, Holy Wrath, and Consecration spells gains additional critical strike chance equal to your melee critical strike chance.

Rune Location: At night in the Hinterlands, activate the Sense Undead skill as a Paladin. You should find and kill a [Vengeful Spirit] at coordinates 33, 44. Once the [Vengeful Spirit] is defeated, travel to Ironforge and locate the room filled with class trainers. There, speak with [Magister Faraz]. Choose the available dialogue options, and you will receive the rune.
