Rune Engraving is a new system in Wow Season of Discovery that allows players to use skills added in future DLCs. It brings a lot of excitement and changes to the gameplay of WoW Classic 60s.

Nothing is more remarkable for Priest players than having access to some of the future DLC skills in the early game. We can combine these new runes in-game to create a new Priest Build, with a total of 32 runes available so far. This opens up endless possibilities and promises an exhilarating experience.

This article will provide detailed information on the 8 runes for Priest and where or how to obtain them. We will keep updating this page with more details about the Priest Runes and their locations as they become available.

WoW SoD Phase 4 Priest Runes - Engrave Cloak - Binding Heal

Rune Effect: Heals a friendly target and the caster for 1083.9 to 1326.262. Low threat. This spell benefits from and triggers all effects associated with Flash Heal.

Rune Location: To learn Binding Heal, you need to obtain the item Jubilant Epiphany. The quest you need to start depends on your faction.

Alliance: Speak to High Priestess Laurena at the Stormwind Cathedral in Stormwind City (38.8 26.6).

Horde: Speak to Dietrich Praice in the Valley of Spirits, Orgrimmar (35.8 87.2).

Both will direct you to retrieve three family heirlooms from the Sorrow Hill Crypt in Western Plaguelands.

Head to the Sorrow Hill Crypt, Western Plaguelands (54 79), and find the following items:

Family Heirloom: (54.8 81.2) Enter the crypt, turn left, go downstairs, and find it in a small alcove on the right.

Family Records: (53.8 80.2) Located at the bottom of the crypt, on the bookshelf on the right.

Survivor Journal: (54.1 80.7) Found at the bottom of the crypt on a table to the left.

Pick up the quest Relic of Light. It will direct you to Hearthglen to retrieve a book. This book is located in the town hall on the podium. Please return to your quest giver once you have it.

Travel to Tyr's Hand and enter the bell tower (83.6 78.2). On the top floor, you'll find a locked box. Interacting with it gives you the quest for the Prize Within. You'll need to kill mobs to obtain a key to unlock it (a friendly Rogue can also pickpocket the mobs for keys). Once you unlock the box, loot the artifact.

Return to your quest giver with the artifact to receive Jubilant Epiphany.

WoW SoD Phase 4 Priest Runes - Engrave Cloak - Soul Warding

Rune Effect: Your Power Word: Shield no longer has a cooldown, costs 15% less mana, gains 15% additional base value, and gains an additional 50% of your healing power.

Rune Location: Head to Stratholme Live Side and clear the area to the new pillars before the cannon boss encounters. Defeat Postmaster Malown to obtain the keys to the mailboxes. There are 3 pillars with text clues indicating which boss essences are required. Kill each mailbox and loot the item that enables you to collect essence from the bosses. Use the clues on the pillars to determine which boss essences you need. Turn in 3 correct boss essences and collect the Rune.

WoW SoD Phase 4 Priest Runes - Engrave Cloak - Vampiric Touch

Rune Effect: Applies your Vampiric Embrace talent to your target, causes 611.617 Shadow damage over 15 sec to your target, and causes all party members to gain mana equal to 2% of any Shadow spell damage you deal to the target.

Rune Location: Before entering the Demon Fall Canyon, you need to unlock it. The Aperitive Epiphany drops from Hellscream's Phantom, the final boss in the Demon Fall Canyon dungeon. Here are the solutions to find the Aperitive Epiphany, the item you'll need to learn Vampiric Touch.

WoW SoD Phase 4 Priest Runes - Engrave Ring - Dagger Specialization

Rune Effect: Skill with Daggers increased by 5. This effect is not cumulative with racial bonuses or other ring runes.

Rune Location: Find the red book in Silithus at (20, 85), in a tent closest to Ahn'Qiraj. Please read it to learn this rune.

WoW SoD Phase 4 Priest Runes - Engrave Ring - Holy Specialization

Rune Effect: Chance to hit with Holy spells increased by 6%. Not cumulative with other ring runes.

Rune Location: In Eastern Plaguelands, head to Tyr's Hand and enter the library wing located in the northern building at coordinates (83.6, 78.2). Then, collect the book and learn the Rune.

WoW SoD Phase 4 Priest Runes - Engrave Ring - Mace Specialization

Rune Effect: Skill with Maces and Two-Handed Maces increased by 5. This effect is not cumulative with racial bonuses or other ring runes.

Rune Location: Head to the top of Grim Batol in the Wetlands, around (73, 76). There will be a clickable object next to the door; interacting with it will earn this Rune.

WoW SoD Phase 4 Priest Runes - Engrave Ring - Pole Weapon Specialization

Rune Effect: Skill with Staves and Polearms increased by 5. This effect is not cumulative with racial bonuses or other ring runes.

Rune Location: In Azshara, inside the Temple of Arkkoran, around coordinates (78, 38), there is a book located on the Moonwell. Opening the book will grant you the Rune of Pole Weapon Specialization.

WoW SoD Phase 4 Priest Runes - Engrave Ring - Shadow Specialization

Rune Effect: Chance to hit with Shadow spells increased by 6%. Not cumulative with other ring runes.

Rune Location: Head to the Tainted Scar in the Blasted Lands. Proceed to the altar at coordinates (33.0, 48.0) and collect your Rune.
