What we know about WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2 so far

Blizzard's official Twitter message reveals that the second phase of the WoW Season of Discovery will be updated on February 8th, Pacific Time.

Sand & Blood in Stranglethorn Vale::

In the phase 2 of the Season of Discovery, player character levels can be raised to level 40. From the official short video release, Stranglethorn Vale will become a new activity hub featuring a large PvP world area. WoW designer Josh states, "There will be blood," emphasizing that Stranglethorn Vale will "Completely different from ashnvale".

Surprises in New Gnomeregan:

Another attention-grabbing addition is the new raid - Gnomeregan. Gnomeregan, like Blackfathom Deeps, will undergo a complete overhaul, introducing numerous level 40 items, including high-quality purple equipment. The most famous weapon in Gnomeregan, the "Automatic Crowd Pummeler," will also receive a brand-new upgrade.

Abundance of New Runes, Talent Points Reaching 31:

With character levels reaching 40, players will have 31 talent points, sufficient to unlock the ultimate talent in a talent tree. This significantly boosts many classes, such as Shadowform for Shadow Priests and Bloodthirst for Fury Warriors. The game will introduce numerous new exploration mechanisms, allowing players to acquire powerful runes, like the Paladin's Chillwind Blast, revealed in an official video. Based on previous data mining, players will eventually have nine rune slots, indicating the potential for more equipment slots for rune carving. While this enhances skill variety, it may also increase balance issues.

Designer Josh mentioned that specific details about the content of Phase 2 of the Season of Discovery will be gradually disclosed in the future.
