. Character levels will be raised to a maximum of 50, granting players an additional 10 talent points. The new 20-player raid will be The Temple of Atal'Hakkar, also known as the
sunken temple, featuring redesigned boss battles after each reset. Phase 3 will also introduce new
runes, skills, crafted items, the highly anticipated dual talent system, and much more. Join
MMOJUGG today as we explore the exciting new content!
As previously mentioned in
MMOJUGG's articles, the new Sunken Temple is the new raid instance for Phase 3, similar to the
Blackfathom Deeps in Phase 1 and
Gnomeregan in Phase 2. Located underwater in the
Swamp of Sorrows
, this level 50 raid is designed for 20 players and consists of 8 bosses. It offers over 100 new items and sets, as well as new epic items. Additionally, players can earn level 50 class quest rewards and various raid quest rewards within the raid instance.
Let's take a quick preview of some of the bosses in The Temple of Atal'Hakkar:
Atal'alrion
, a troll berserker, serves as the first boss, akin to a gatekeeper role.
Festering Rot Slime
, a new boss, patrols the outer perimeter and should be carefully avoided during the raid.
Jammal'an & Ogom
, a priest and an undead avenger, are dedicated to resurrecting the Blood God Hakkar, making for an intriguing dual-boss encounter.
Lastly, the
mighty green dragon boss, Eranikus
, who, in previous versions, summoned other dragons to aid him in battle, necessitating players to eliminate them before facing him.
Next, let's preview some of the new item drops:
Drakestone of the Nightmare Harbinger
is an off-hand item designed for Shadow Priests. It provides high spell damage and healing bonuses.Temple Explorer's Gun Axe
is designed for melee tanks. It has the added convenience of ranged attacks for pulling enemies.Atal'ai Blood Icon
, similar to items in AQ40, introduces an equipment exchange system. Compared to Phase 2's Gnomeregan, Phase 3's Sunken Temple will feature increased drop rates for these items.
Regarding epic drops,
Eternal Embrace of the Wind Serpent
, a chest piece specifically for priests, boasts exceptional stats and effects fitting its epic status. Dragon's Cry
, a sword with a summoning effect, has a 2.6 attack speed, high attack power, and bonus attack damage, making it quite intriguing.
Additionally, Phase 3's Sunken Temple introduces some fun epic items, similar to Phase 2's Gnomeregan, such as
Atal'ai Blood Ceremony
, which appears to trigger a 1v1 duel, and Unorthodox Hex Stick
. This transformation item has always been popular in World of Warcraft.
Lastly, look at the raid quest rewards in the Sunken Temple.
Designers felt that the rewards for completing quests in Gnomeregan were somewhat lackluster, so they've enhanced the rewards for completing quests in the Sunken Temple. Below are some examples:
Just like
Gnomeregan, the Sunken Temple will be available after the launch of Phase 3. Players can level up quickly, and even if they miss the first CD, they'll still have time to reach level 50 and join in a few days later. Additionally, designers have changed raid lockouts after level 50, including raids like Ahn'Qiraj and Molten Core, which will now have a weekly cooldown. To compensate, they will design more equipment drops for raids. However, the Upper Blackrock Spire is still a 10-player dungeon without a cooldown, so players can tackle it as they wish!
