Pushing the limits has always been a hobby for some WoW players. Today, a player from the US server posted an explosive thread: fully clearing
SoD Blackfathom Deeps with only 4 players. They provided all WCL records and a brief strategy guide:
This extreme feat took several weeks of effort and a considerable amount of gold spent on consumables, finally resulting in the defeat of the final boss. The gear of these 4 players wasn't initially top-tier; most of it was pre-raid gear, gradually accumulated through multiple CDs during the process.
The core team consisted of 2 warriors, 1 priest, and one flexible member, either a hunter, rogue, or paladin. The lack of Windfury on the warriors initially posed a challenge, but it eventually became a critical factor. With proper coordination and gear upgrades, they managed to sustain DPS for several minutes and increase utility through off-tanking and debuffs. Attempts were made with caster DPS, but mana management proved to be a significant issue against certain bosses.
Throughout the process, they encountered numerous tactical adjustments due to Hunter and Priest nerfs, ultimately sticking with the Priest. They utilized all available buffs and any conceivable tricks. Most of the professional skills were engineering, primarily using Auto-Dispel Reservoirs and Target Dummies.
1st Boss - Baron Aquinas
It was not much of a challenge, as many attempted solo kills.
2nd - Ghamoo-Ra
This is the first challenge for the warrior-centric composition. If you have casters, the fight should be manageable with careful threat management and patience.
3rd - Lady Sarevess
The boss doesn't have much health and can be rushed, but you must deal with several large adds...
4th - Gelihast
The closer the melee, the more intense the battle. This fight boiled down to a DPS race in phase 3. Prepare to spend a lot of Season of Discovery gold on Shadow Protection Potions...
5th - Lorgus Jett
Melee shines in this extremely lengthy battle. The High Priestess will eventually run out of mana. Kill the totems immediately.
6th - Twilight Lord Kelris
The second DPS race. He only sends you to the Shadow Realm once. Phase 3 is killing him before he kills you.
End Boss - Aku'mai
The group also drew some key conclusions:
-A Paladin is necessary.
-Strong execution is required, and it must be sustained for long durations; fights may exceed 5 minutes.
Their next goal is to clear all the bosses in a raid with only 4 players at once!
In conclusion, let's watch the video of their 4-man kill of the final boss:
