WoW SoD Outlook: Karazhan Crypt and Azshara Battlefield

At the 2023 BlizzCon, Blizzard unintentionally leaked several images while showcasing the Season of Discovery. Among them, one is of Gnomeregan, and another is of Karazhan Crypt. Currently, Gnomeregan is confirmed to be a new 10-player raid for Phase 2, while Karazhan Crypt might be a new dungeon for max-level characters.

Karazhan Crypt has always existed in the game but has never been accessible to players, even when the Karazhan raid was introduced for level 70 characters. The current Season of Discovery seems highly likely to explore this area, and players eagerly anticipate it.

Another potential addition is the Azshara Battlegrounds, an area players have long discussed from the unfinished content of the Wow vanilla at level 60.

Players have even discovered maps related to the Azshara Battlegrounds through data mining. This is an inaccessible area for players, yet it displays towers, graveyards, and large faction bases, resembling a 40-player battleground in its setup.

However, when questioned about this at BlizzCon, developers indicated that the Season of Discovery will focus more on outdoor world PvP content. It is possible that Azshara may not appear as a Battlegrounds but rather as a large-scale PvP outdoor zone.
