Elemental Invocation is a reactive meta buff skill in Path of Exile 2 that stores elemental ailment triggers as Energy, then unleashes socketed spells once enough Energy is gathered. Ideal for ailment-heavy builds that want to automate spellcasting.
"While active, gains Energy when you Freeze, Shock or Ignite an enemy. Using the Invocation once sufficient Energy is gathered will consume the Energy to trigger socketed Spells, and can trigger them multiple times if it has enough Energy."

Path of Exile 2 Elemental Invocation Mechanic FAQs
1. Can Elemental Invocation trigger spells while Energy is still accumulating?
No. Spells only trigger once the Energy threshold is met and the Invocation is activated.
2. Does Elemental Invocation work with minions or traps?
No. Only socketed spells inside the Meta Gem are triggered. Minions and traps are unaffected.
3. Can Energy be gained from ailments applied by secondary sources like totems or mirage archers?
Only direct hits from the player count. Totems, traps, and mirage archers do not contribute Energy.
4. How is Ignite Energy gain scaled by Ailment Threshold?
The lower the enemy's Ailment Threshold, the more Energy is gained per Ignite. This favors builds that reliably apply strong Ignites.
5. Can multiple spells be triggered in sequence if Energy is sufficient?
Yes. Invocation will consume Energy based on each spell's cast time and can trigger multiple spells if the Energy pool allows.
