Season of Discovery, Azuregos is scaled for 20 players but will allow up to 40 players to join the instance, making the fight easier. Azuregos Boss Strategy
As a Blue Dragon, Azuregos is immune to arcane spells and has high frost resistance.
Azuregos Abilities
Cleave: Hits an additional target standing in front of him.
Chill: Frost damage that slows attack and movement speed.
Frost Breath: Cone-shaped attack that damages and slows targets.
Manastorm: A Blizzard-like spell that drains mana from those standing in it.
Mark of Frost: Received upon death, freezes players in a block of ice after respawning. Lasts 15 minutes and cannot be removed.
Magic Reflection: A magic reflection shield.
Teleport: Teleports players directly on top of him and resets aggro.
Azuregos Strategy
Once the fight begins, ensure your tank has gained aggro before engaging. When Azuregos uses his Teleport ability, all players within 30 yards will be teleported to his location, resetting aggro for those affected. Allow time for your tank to reestablish aggro by stopping all damage and returning to your original positions. DPS should avoid standing before Azuregos to evade his Cleave and Frost Breath.
He quickly ran out of his Manastorm, as it also drained mana. Stop casting when Magic Reflection is active. If you die, you are essentially out of the fight for 15 minutes due to the Mark of Frost debuff.
