With the patch going live on the World of Warcraft
Season of Discovery PTR, a plethora of Phase 2 content has been data mined. We already knew about the new
Stranglethorn Vale PVP event, "
The Blood Moon, " and we got the newest PVP event reward, "Blood Harvest." 3 to 4 items for each class have been found.
The rule is you can wear only one blood harvest item at a time, only exception is hunter, he can wear two. but all information is base on PTR datamining, we dont know how it will be in when
phase 2 officail release. These new blood harvest items seem extremely awesome. Today, with
MMOJUGG, let's look at these new blood harvest items!
WoW SoD Phase 2 Druid - Stranglethorn Vale PVP Event - The Blood Moon - Blood Harvest Items
Enchanted Sanguine Grimoire provides a significant boost to both arcane and nature spell damage for Druids; Bloodbark Crusher, a two-handed mace, offers a substantial increase in attack power for Feral Druids, along with a Stormstrike effect. The Bloodbonded Grove Talisman trinket allows Healing Druids to sacrifice 300 HP of their own to heal a teammate for 300 HP, making it crucial in critical moments.
WoW SoD Phase 2 Hunter - Stranglethorn Vale PVP Event - The Blood Moon - Blood Harvest Items
Hunters have the option to choose a bow with a triggering effect - the Bloodlash Bow, which has a chance to trigger a significant amount of agility, resulting in a substantial increase in DPS. Additionally, there's a trinket - the Tigerblood Talisman, which increases your pet's critical strike chance and restores mana to the pet upon a critical strike. Furthermore, hunters are not subject to the restriction of wearing only one item from the Blood Moon, allowing them to purchase and equip the 16-slot Sanguine Quiver or Sanguine Ammo Pouch.
WoW SoD Phase 2 Mage - Stranglethorn Vale PVP Event - The Blood Moon - Blood Harvest Items
Mages can choose from three rings: the Blood Resonance Circle, Emberblood Seal, and Loop of Chilled Veins. Each ring provides additional damage to arcane spells, fire spells, and frost spells respectively. These rings also offer a great boost of 16 points in value at level 40, making them excellent choices for mages.
WoW SoD Phase 2 Paladin - Stranglethorn Vale PVP Event - The Blood Moon - Blood Harvest Items
The Eclipsed Bloodlight Saber is a one-handed sword with decent burst damage, attribute bonuses, and additional holy spell damage. The Bloodlight Avenger's Edge is a two-handed sword with good burst damage, attribute bonuses, and holy spell damage. These two weapons will greatly enhance the performance of Paladins in Phase 2.
The Bloodlight Crusader's Radiance is a necklace with an active AOE skill, providing some assistance to Paladin tanks in controlling aggro and clearing mobs. Bloodlight Offering is similar to the Druid's Bloodbonded Grove Talisman, the Bloodlight Offering sacrifices 300 HP to heal a teammate, making it crucial in critical moments.
WoW SoD Phase 2 Priest - Stranglethorn Vale PVP Event - The Blood Moon - Blood Harvest Items
The Blood Covenant Seal is designed specifically for healing Priests, providing a 13-point increase in healing effectiveness. The Sanguine Shadow Band is tailored for Shadow Priests, offering a 14-point increase in shadow spell power and providing mana regeneration. The Sanguine Sanctuary, similar to trinkets for Paladins and Druids, allows Priests to sacrifice themselves to restore their teammates.
WoW SoD Phase 2 Rogue - Stranglethorn Vale PVP Event - The Blood Moon - Blood Harvest Items
The Bloodharvest Blade is a main-hand dagger with a 1.9 attack speed, providing 9 agility and 8 stamina to increase the rogue's damage dps and survivability. The Blood Spattered Stiletto is a powerful off-hand dagger with a 2.0 attack speed, offering 6 stamina for increased survivability. The Swift Sanguine Strikers are Fist Weapons with a 1.4 attack speed, 31 damage per second, 8 agility, and 9 stamina, providing formidable melee capabilities!
WoW SoD Phase 2 Shaman - Stranglethorn Vale PVP Event - The Blood Moon - Blood Harvest Items
The Bloodstorm Barrier provides a boost to spell damage and healing for Shamans, along with extremely high armor. Isn't it amazing? The Bloodstorm War Totem is a two-handed mace with a chance to stun for 2 seconds upon triggering. I'd stay away from anyone wielding that weapon. The Ancestral Bloodstorm Beacon creates a ranged AOE effect similar to the Paladin's Bloodlight Crusader's Radiance. Like the previous trinkets for other classes, the Bloodstorm Jewel sacrifices your health to heal your allies.
WoW SoD Phase 2 Warlock - Stranglethorn Vale PVP Event - The Blood Moon - Blood Harvest Items
The Infernal Bloodcoil Band and Umbral Bloodseal respectively grant Warlocks +14 Fire Spell Damage and +14 Shadow Spell Damage. The Infernal Pact Essence provides the pet with +20 Stamina and +80 Intellect, significantly boosting the pet's DPS and survivability, along with an additional 150 damage AOE active skill.
WoW SoD Phase 2 Warrior - Stranglethorn Vale PVP Event - The Blood Moon - Blood Harvest Items
The Sanguine Skullcrusher is a slow one-handed mace, offering 10 strength and 6 agility suitable for all DPS-oriented warriors. The Sanguine Crusher, on the other hand, is a two-handed mace providing 40 damage per second, along with 18 strength and 12 stamina, offering substantial dps and survivability for arms warriors, and also comes with a 1% critical chance bonus. The Exsanguinar is a one-handed sword with 6 stamina, providing a boost to survivability, and it also features an active skill that deals AoE and damage over time (DoT).
UPDATE 10.FEB.2024: Blizzard has released a hotfix for Season of Discovery that resolves an issue related to the Blood Moon PvP event. With this fix, players who have recently been resurrected will not be worth anything to other players for a period of 1 minute. This aims to prevent players from camping at the graveyard and repeatedly killing each other.
UPDATE 11.FEB.2024 : According to player feedback, obtaining equipment from the Blood Moon event in Stranglethorn Vale is easy. The Blood Moon has a 3-hour cooldown lasting 30 minutes each time. Killing other players or creatures will stack a debuff, with one player stacking up to 5 layers regardless of faction. Once a player has been killed four times, they cannot stack the debuff further. Killing a creature will add one layer of debuff. The debuff does not reset upon the player's death. Going to the altar and paying with copper coins will exchange one layer of debuff for a Copper Blood Coin. One hundred copper coins can be exchanged for 100 silver coins, and 100 silver coins can be exchanged for 1 Gold Blood Coin. Purple two-handed weapons cost ten silver blood coins, while single-handed weapons cost five silver blood coins. In other words, does obtaining a two-handed weapon require 200 different player kills?! This seems too simple, and it's uncertain if it's a bug or the exchange rate has been mistaken. Otherwise, what's the purpose of Gold Blood Coins? Friends with free time should seize the opportunity.
Are you excited about those new blood harvest items? Although they may not seem as powerful as the loot from the
new Gnomeregan, they can still serve as good transitional items.
Season of Discovery is getting more and more interesting with each passing day! It's hard to predict what the players will be like in Phase 3 and 4.
