1. Elite Farming in Silithus
Located in the northeast corner of Silithus, this spot offers high-potential gold farming. Killing the Twilight cultist elites grants you a free Cenarion Circle reputation and a chance at Eternium Lockboxes. These lock boxes can contain two valuable items: the Four Stats Chest Enchant and the Lionheart Helm Recipe.
Investment Tip:
Guardian Stones. Several newly crafted recipes in Phase 4 will use Guardian Stones, which will become a nightmare to farm. Stock up now for a solid investment.
2. Incursions (not recommended now change to daily quest)
Incursions can yield 80-100 gold per hour. Just 3 hours of incursions a week for the next 4 weeks can pay for your epic mount. Use the Nightmare Incursion Helper add-on for optimal farming, and don't forget the giant in Feralas drops the Pet Stone, a highly desirable item.
Investment Tip:
Elemental Fire. Used in Greater Fire Protection Potions, which will be in high demand with new difficulty modes in Molten Core.
3. Eye of Shadow Farming
The Eye of Shadow is a valuable item to farm now. Top guild priests will need Benediction for day one of the new Molten Core difficulty modes. This farm can be done with 5-8 players or even solo as a hunter.
Investment Tip:
Golden Pearls. These will be in high demand for crafting as supply dwindles with fewer players doing open-world content.
4. Crusader Enchant
The Crusader enchant recipe, found in a small tower in Eastern Plaguelands, is hard to farm. Only one recipe drops every 3 hours, and the farming spot will be crowded in Phase 4. Get it now before the phase launches.
Investment Tip:
Devilsaur Leather. This leather is already sought after for pre-BiS legs and gloves and will be even rarer and more expensive with new recipes in Phase 4.
5. Transmuting Arcanite Bars
Transmuting Arcane Crystals into Arcanite Bars is a scalable gold-making method. With new crafting recipes announced and key items like Thunderfury and Hand of Ragnaros needing Arcanite Bars, the demand will skyrocket.
Investment Tip:
Grilled Squid. Best-in-slot food for hunters and winter squid won't be fishable again until September 22nd. The supply will continue to decrease, making it a valuable investment.
