The 70-80 stretch on the official Chrono Server can feel painfully slow if your gear is still stuck in Outland blues. Thankfully, the Chinese Titan Reforged version kept two absolutely broken quest chains that solve almost every gearing problem in one evening of play. These are not random greens — we're talking item level 174-175 rewards that stay relevant until you're deep into Icecrown Citadel heroic modes.

Whether you're a fresh 70 alt or pushing a main to 80, these two quests are non-negotiable. As soon as the game lets you step into Icecrown at level 77, fly straight to the Argent Vanguard (the very first camp in the zone).
Alliance: Board the zeppelin outside Undercity or Orgrimmar → talk to Devout Abyssalan on the airship.
Horde: Same zeppelin → talk to Kel'Tan the Devout.
Accept “Judgment Day Has Come" (审判日降临!). This eight-phase storyline is fully scripted and arrow-guided by the built-in Netease quest helper, so you literally can't get lost.
The climax is the famous cannon defense phase “The Last Line of Defense". You hop into one of the four Argent Crusade tower cannons and have to:
Kill 100 Scourge ground units
Destroy 3 Frostbrood Destroyers (the huge bone dragons)
Tips that save hours:
Stay on the southernmost tower — it has the best view of incoming dragons.
Spam ability 1 on cooldown for ground waves, save ability 2 (higher damage) for dragons.
If a dragon lands and starts destroying a tower, immediately swap targets — towers have surprisingly low HP.
After turning in, you get to pick one of three BoE-quality trinkets that are still used in speed-running communities today:
Item ID | Name | Type | Main Stat / Effect | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
44013 | Cannoneer's Morale | Caster DPS | 54 Crit + 281 Spell Power on-use (20s) | All spell casters |
44014 | Fezzik's Pocketwatch | Physical DPS | 60 Haste + 432 Attack Power on-use (15s) | Rogue, Enhance, Hunter, Ret |
44015 | Cannoneer's Fuselighter | Healer | 28 MP5 + 281 Spell Power on-use (20s) | Resto Druid/Shaman, Holy Priest |
These trinkets are so strong that many players keep them equipped well into Ulduar hard modes.
Ding 75 → immediately teleport to Dalaran → drop into the Underbelly (sewers) → find the goblin Shifty Vickers near the central circle. Accept “The Champion's Call!".
He sends you to the Amphitheater of Anguish in central Zul'Drak. The entire chain is a 5-man gladiatorial event (exactly like the Outland Ring of Blood, but bigger rewards).
Pro tips for a clean clear:
Bring at least one tank and one healer; the rest can enrage.
Kill order for final boss (Yggdras): Burn one head at a time instead of splitting damage.
Use the environment — kite elemental adds into the fire pits for massive AoE damage.
When you finally turn in to Gurgthock, you get to pick ONE of six item level 175 weapons. Every single one of them is pre-raid BiS or extremely close.
Item ID | Weapon Type | Speed | Key Stats & Effects | Recommended Classes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
41824 | One-Hand Mace | 2.80 | 19 Agi, 22 Sta, 52 AP, 26 Crit | Enhance Shaman, Ret Paladin, Rogue |
41816 | Two-Hand Axe | 3.50 | 61 Str, 93 Sta, 47 Hit, 30 Crit | Arms Warrior, Unholy DK |
41815 | Polearm | 3.20 | 62 Agi, 52 Sta, 88 AP (feral), 61 Crit | Feral Druid |
41822 | One-Hand Sword | 2.20 | 19 Int, 30 Sta, 281 SP, 13 MP5, 21 Crit | Elemental Shaman, Balance Druid |
41825 | Dagger | 1.80 | 27 Agi, 38 AP, 26 Hit, 20 ArP | Combat Rogue |
41821 | Staff | 3.10 | 62 Int, 66 Sta, 281 SP, 50 Hit, 47 Haste | All casters & healers |
Personal favorite: the oversized one-hand mace (41824). The visual size is absurdly big — perfect for transmog collectors.
A: Yes if you're already 80 and overgeared. At 75-77 it's almost impossible without a proper 5-man group.
A: The Icecrown chain gives ~2,000 Argent Crusade rep total. Great for shoulder enchants.
A: Fezzik's Pocketwatch (44014). The 432 AP on-use lines up perfectly with Maelstrom Weapon procs.
A: All six weapons and all three trinkets are Bind on Pickup. No trading or AH.
A: Icecrown chain ≈ 35-45 minutes. Zul'Drak arena ≈ 25-35 minutes. Under 90 minutes total for two permanent BiS slots.
A: No. Both are one-time only, but the daily Argent Tournament that unlocks at 77 is a different system.
A: Relog or type /reload. The Netease client sometimes bugs on phase changes. Worst case, just follow the yellow “!" on the zone map.
These two questlines alone can save you dozens of hours of grinding Honor or heroics. Keep an eye on MMOJUGG — we drop new Chrono Server meta guides, gold-making routes, and class rankings every week. See you in Northrend!
