WoW Titan Reforged Hand of Ragnaros Enhance Shaman

by        Game: WoW Titan Reforged Guide        Tags: WoW Titan Reforged Class

The official Chinese Titan Reforged server “Chrono" just dropped one of the biggest class reworks since launch. Enhancement Shamans are getting a complete two-handed weapon playstyle that no longer feels like a meme or an orange-hammer-only fantasy. Starting December 4, the old Dual Wield talent disappears and gets replaced by something far more interesting.

If you've been waiting for the perfect moment to roll or reactivate a Shaman on Chrono, this is it. Core Change: Two-Handed Dexterity Talent

The former Dual Wield talent (Enhancement tree, tier 4) is gone and replaced by Two-Handed Dexterity (1/1).

What it does: Still allows an off-hand weapon if you want classic dual-wield. When a two-handed weapon is equipped, you gain four massive bonuses:

Bonus

Exact Effect

Why It Matters

Spell Hit

+6% spell hit rating

Removes the biggest gearing headache for 2H builds

Static Shock

Trigger chance doubled

More Lightning Shield orbs = huge single-target burst

Skill Replacement

Lava Lash → Lava Surge

Instant 100% weapon damage +25% with Flame Tongue active

Flurry Bonus

Flurry grants an extra 15% melee haste

Compensates slow 2H swing timer, keeps Windfury and procs flowing

New animations for Lava Surge and Stormstrike make heavy two-handed swings feel weighty and satisfying.

How Strong Is It Really?

Early theorycrafting and PTR testing show two-handed builds are within 3-6% of optimized dual-wield in full BiS, and actually pull ahead in several realistic scenarios:

  • Pre-raid and early-phase gear (Phase 1-3): 2H often wins because of the free 6% hit.

  • Fight length <90 seconds: Static Shock doubling shines in burst windows.

  • Cleave/aoe-heavy encounters: Higher weapon damage per swing benefits Flame Shock spreading and Maelstrom procs.

Even without the legendary hammer, blue or purple two-handers from BWL and AQ are now completely viable.

Rotation & Playstyle Impact

Core loop stays familiar but gains a new “big hit" button:

  1. Keep Flame Tongue + Windfury active

  2. Stormstrike on cooldown

  3. Lava Surge as instant filler (replaces Lava Lash)

  4. Shock when Maelstrom Weapon = 5

  5. Lightning Bolt only with 5-stack Maelstrom procs

The doubled Static Shock also means you'll see far more 3-orb bursts during execute range.

FAQs on WoW Titan Reforged Server Shaman Rework

Do I lose anything by going two-handed now?

No. You keep the ability to equip an off-hand anytime. Switching between dual-wield and 2H mid-raid is 100% possible.

Is the legendary hammer still the best option?

Yes for pure single-target parse-chasing, but the gap has shrunk dramatically. Many guilds are already clearing BWL with 2H Shamans using AQ20 or even AV weapons.

Will this change affect Elemental or Restoration?

No. Only Enhancement tree is touched. Ele and Resto remain unchanged.

How does this interact with Nightfall uptime for the raid?

Two-handed Shamans still generate solid threat and keep Nightfall rolling thanks to higher per-swing damage and consistent Flurry uptime.

Any chance Blizzard nerfs this before or shortly after December 4?

Unlikely. The blue post explicitly calls this an intentional diversity buff, and the talent is already live on internal builds for weeks.
