World of Warcraft: The War Within is set to launch on August 26, and popular content creator MrGM recently analyzed the new expansion's quests, discovering that while the main storyline is shorter compared to version 10.0, there are more side quests in version 11.0.
The War Within quests are distributed across four major zones in Khaz Algar, including dungeons, telling the main story of 11.0. According to MrGM's analysis, there are 15 more total quests in 11.0 compared to the initial release of 10.0. Specifically, there are 19 more side quests but 4 fewer main story chapters.
Dragonflight (10.0):
16 campaign chapters
34 side quests
50 total quests
The War Within (11.0):
12 campaign chapters
53 side quests
65 total quests
These numbers are from the latest PTR, and the quest count might change when 11.0 officially launches. Dragonflight marked a resurgence for World of Warcraft, with many memorable side quests. Fans hope that 11.0 will continue this trend.
Additionally, according to the latest findings from Wowhead, the starting zones for allied races are now accessible to all players, with portals added throughout the world.
The concept of allied races was introduced in Legion. Unlike the main Horde and Alliance races, players need to unlock allied races before creating a character. With the addition of the Earthen Dwarves in "The War Within," the total number of allied races in World of Warcraft has increased to six.
Previously, the starting zones for allied races were off-limits to ordinary players, except for those completing heritage armor quests. This change benefits the Alliance more, as there are now five accessible portals moved to behind the Stormwind Embassy. Of the four old portals, only Mechagon City was previously accessible to everyone, but it required a lengthy flight to the outskirts of Kul Tiras.
On the Horde side, Mag'har Orcs and Vulpera did not have dedicated starting zones, as their starting points were already in Orgrimmar.
