Unlike the original version, the
Season of Discovery version of Lord Kazzak is designed for 20 players but allows up to 40 players for an easier fight. This flexibility lets groups choose between a less challenging fight with fewer loot drops per member or a more challenging encounter with a higher loot-to-player ratio.

Lord Kazzak's Abilities
Capture Soul: Heals Kazzak for over 70,000 health upon a player's death.
Cleave: Hits an additional target standing in front of him.
Mark of Kazzak: Causes a caster to lose mana over time. If they reach 0 mana, they explode for 6,000 damage; can be dispelled.
Shadow Bolt Volley: AoE shadow bolts that ignore line of sight.
Thunderclap: Damages and slows the attack speed and movement of targets.
Twisted Reflection: Heals Kazzak for 25,000 if he hits an afflicted player; can be dispelled.
Void Bolt: A powerful single-target shadow spell.
Lord Kazzak Strategy
The key to defeating Lord Kazzak is to avoid deaths and manage mana effectively. Each player death results in a 70,000 health heal for Kazzak due to Capture Soul. Additionally, he must be defeated within 3 minutes to prevent him from enraging and unleashing a flurry of shadow bolts.
Avoid standing in front of him unless you're the tank to mitigate damage from Cleave. Dispel Twisted Reflection quickly to prevent Kazzak from healing, indicated by a green glow on the afflicted player.
Monitor mana closely, especially for casters with Mark of Kazzak. If their mana reaches zero, they explode, causing massive damage. Dispel this debuff immediately to prevent catastrophic damage.
