Naxxramas has made its grand return for World of Warcraft's P7 Season of Discovery (SoD), bringing with it a host of new features, including a challenging Hard Mode and the introduction of Sanctified Gear.This is the
official verification message.
Hard Mode - Empowerment System
Empowerment mechanics: Players will now be able to interact with a new "Empowerment" or "Hard Mode" system in Naxxramas. By interacting with a sphere in the main hall, you can activate this mode for each of the four wings, increasing the difficulty and rewards.
Effects:
Bosses: Gain increased health and deal more damage. The effects stack with each empowered zone.
Debuff: Players receive the Frozen Wastes Authority debuff when they enter an empowered zone.
Rewards: More equipment drops, though the quality remains the same, with a chance to drop cosmetic items.
Ultimate challenge: After all four zones have been empowered, the final bosses, Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad, become even more formidable, though details remain undisclosed.
Consecrated Gear and Dawn Emblem
Gear acquisition: Naxxramas is designed for 20 to 40 players, with drops including "Sanctified Gear". This gear interacts with the Dawn Emblem to increase player stats within the instance.
Dawn Emblem:
Functionality: Originally a trinket from the Argent Dawn, this is now a backpack item that activates the Sanctified prefix on gear, providing set-like bonuses.
Levels: Comes in DPS, healing and tank varieties in colours ranging from white to purple, maxing out at level 10 and providing up to a 37.50% health and damage boost to Sanctified gear.
Progression: The emblem is upgraded server-wide using Echoes of Courage, which drop from bosses, especially in Hard Mode, and from repeatable outdoor quests.
Naxxramas Entrance Quest
The Dread Citadel, Naxxramas: Players will still need to complete this quest in order to access the raid, with the cost varying based on reputation:
Honoured: 60 gold, 5 Arcane Crystals, 2 Nexus Crystals, 1 Righteous Orb
Revered: 30 gold, 2 Arcane Crystals, 1 Nexus Crystal
Exalted: Free entry
