The War Within is about to get even more exciting with the arrival of patch 11.1: Undermine(d). Here's a deep dive into what's new, from exploring the goblin capital to facing some of Azeroth's craziest bosses.
New Zone: Undermine
Location: Deep beneath Azeroth, this zone takes us to the legendary goblin city of Undermine, complete with a deceptive skybox that makes it feel like an open world.
Activities: Take part in a full story campaign, side quests and unique world quests such as "Boomball", where you play a chaotic goblin version of golf using bombs for balls.
Reputation: A new 20-level reputation track, Cartels of Undermine, offers various rewards including mounts, cosmetics, and the title "The Explosive". Players can join different goblin cartels each week for additional reputation gains.
Transport: The D.R.I.V.E. system introduces the G-99 Breakneck, a customisable ground mount for racing and navigating the streets of Undermine.
New Raid: Liberation of Undermine
Bosses: Meet eight unique bosses, from a biker gang to a mecha T. rex, culminating in a showdown with Chrome King Gallywix for exclusive mounts including the Prototype A.S.M.R. and The Big G.
Renown System: In addition to raid participation, a separate 20-level Renown track offers progression benefits such as raid skips, portals and buffs.
Difficulty: Available in multiple difficulty levels including Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, Mythic and a special final boss story mode.
New Dungeon: Operation: Floodgate
Setting: Fight your way through the Ringing Deeps in this four-boss dungeon, where you'll battle the Darkfuse and Venture Co. amidst explosions and chaos.
Modes: Accessible in various difficulties, including Mythic+, making it part of the new season's dungeon rotation.
Season 2 of The War Within
Mythic+ Dungeons: The season introduces new dungeons such as Operation: Floodgate, as well as returning favourites from Battle for Azeroth and Shadowlands.
Rewards: New mounts such as the Crimson Shredder for Keystone Masters and the Enterprising Shredder for Keystone Legends, as well as new titles and dungeon portals.
PvP: A new arena, the Cage of Carnage, and new mounts such as the Vicious Electro Eel and the Prized Gladiator's Fel Bat.
Delves Update
New content: Two new delves, Dig Site 9 and Sidestreet Sluice, featuring themed adventures against Old God corruption and goblin mischief.
Brann's New Role: Brann Bronzebeard gains a tank specialisation, adding a new layer to the Delves gameplay.
Class changes
Hunter Overhaul: Sniper Hunters can now choose to go petless with the addition of an eagle pet and the Bloodlust ability, transforming the spec into a sniper fantasy.
Quality of Life Updates
Character Selection Screen: Customise your Warband character selection screen with new backgrounds and organise characters into camps.
Events Tab: A new tab on the map to quickly find active events such as World Soul Memory.
