WoW Classic Phase 3 Launch: BWL, Class Quests & Rank 14

Phase 3 of World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary Edition launches on 20 March 2025 at 15:00 PDT, and it's a game changer. Blackwing Lair (BWL) opens its doors, level 50 class quests unlock epic rewards, Darkmoon Faire (DMF) buffs roll out, and the PvP rank cap jumps to 14 as Arathi Basin joins the fray. Whether you're hunting Thunderfury, parsing BWL, or grinding for honour, this phase - which goes live today, 7 March 2025 - demands that you gear up now. Here's the rundown on how to dominate the new servers and beyond - let's dive into the chaos!  

How to Attune: Head to Upper Blackrock Spire (UBRS). Kill Scarshield Quartermaster outside, loot Blackhand's Command for a quest, then clear UBRS and touch the orb behind General Drakkisath. Done - welcome to BWL!  

Loot Highlights: Fill Tier 2 sets - helmets from Onyxia, legs from Molten Core, and now chests, gloves, and more. Elementium Ore drops from Blackwing Technicians, which can be smelted into bars for the Thunderfury questline. Kill Nefarian, loot his head and trigger an Onyxia-style buff drop.

Eight bosses, unique mechanics - get your raid ready for a wild ride!  

Thorium Brotherhood: +15 Agility or +15 Strength weapon enchants - tough grind, but BiS for melee.  

Warsong Gulch: Warsong Bracers and Blackguard (rank 5+) - niche, but worth flexing.

Timbermaw's easier, but Thorium's a slog - did you prep early, or are you starting fresh?  

Now live, these quests will send level 50+ players to Sunken Temple (Swamp of Sorrows - Horde flight path helps, Alliance treks from Duskwood):  

Diamond Vial (Warrior): Restores 9 HP every 5 seconds, scales with healing power. Switch to a healing set, drink, then switch back to DPS gear - snapshot a massive heal over time. Solo Dire Maul east jump runs or rethink your trinket game for BWL!  

Other classes: Epic Trinkets and Gear Shifts - visit your class trainer in any major city.

These pre-BiS items could redefine your setup - don't sleep on them!  

DMF debuts on 1 April 2025 (yes, April Fool's Day - first setup on 27 March):  

Schedule: Set up Friday, open Monday, close Sunday - rotates monthly between Elwynn (Alliance) and Mulgore (Horde).  

Sayge's Buff: Chat with Sayge (guide linked in video description) for a 2 hour buff (refreshes every 4 hours while logged in). Warriors gain over 100 DPS - perfect for BWL Parry Week #1. PvP servers? Travel in packs - world buffs are at stake!

First DMF is your shot at raid supremacy - mark your calendars!  

Rank 14 Cap: Raise your honour cap from 11 to 14 - titles, weapons and prestige await. AV's cold hell calls again!  

Arathi Basin: Joins Warsong and AV, with honour weekends starting April 4th (Thursday midnight to Tuesday reset). Extra honour and rep for featured BG-seeking emissaries near town AHs (Alliance behind, Horde to the right).
