Turn downtime into gold with this foolproof trick:  

First Aid: Level to 210, buy Silk Cloth (under 2s) or Mageweave Cloth (under 4s) from the Auction House (AH), craft Heavy Silk Bandages or Mageweave Bandages, and sell them for profit. Check in every few hours - free money!  

Cooking & Leatherworking: Turn Tiger Meat into recipes or make Nightscape Headbands to sell to vendors. Low investment, steady profits.

No gold to start with? Don't worry - the next method has got you covered.  

Mining and Herbalism sound active, but here's the lazy twist:  

Smelting profits: Smelt copper and tin into bronze bars (steady AH sales) or iron ore and thorium into bars for engineers too lazy to mine. At 275 Mining, hit the rich Thorium veins in Dire Maul East - Arcane Crystals are pure gold.  

Node Camping: In Winterspring, mine nodes that respawn every 2-7 minutes (Blue Sapphires, Arcane Crystals). In Burning Steppes, camp four Black Lotus spawns (plus six nearby) - one every hour, no movement required.

Set it and forget it - log in to loot!  

Alchemy (275): Transmute arcane crystals into arcanite bars every 48 hours - 10-15g profit per pop.  

Leatherworking (250): Turn Deeprock Salt into Refined Deeprock Salt every 3 days - 30-40g each.  

Alt Army Boost: Reinvest profits into boosting alts (RFC Horde at 8, Stockades Alliance at 15). With rested XP, they will level up quickly. Five alts = five transmutes - hundreds of gold a week, AFK style.

Hot Picks: Runecloth Bag Recipe, Large Healing Potion, Free Action Potion, Greater Shadow Protection Potion-20-30g profit each, fast sales in early phases.  

Profession gems: Snipe Thorium Widget (Engineering) or Roast Raptor (Cooking) recipes - players are paying top dollar for BiS crafting.

Google common profession guides, camp these vendors, and flip for profit - no effort required!  

Woolen cloth: 1-2s on Alliance (stockades flood supply), 5-10s on Horde - flip 5,000 for 50-100g.  

Magic Dust: 4-5g Alliance, 10-15g Horde - PvP demand pushes it up.  

Recipes: Savoury Deviate Delight (cheap Horde, 10-15g Alliance), Herblore Gloves (cheap Alliance, 50g Horde). Stormwind's exclusive vendor recipes provide Horde gold via neutral AH.

Coordinate with Booty Bay's neutral AH - buy low, sell high, zero grind!  

Phase 2 (January 2025) is the peak of the classic honour system - Dire Maul and Battlegrounds demand gold for mounts, sappers and equipment.
