POE2-Top Divine Farming Strategy with Delirium

by        Game: Path of Exile 2 Guide        Tags: POE2FarmingGuide

Path of Exile 2's patch 0.1.1 has significantly changed the landscape of Delirium mechanics, making it an exceptionally profitable way to farm currency, especially Divine. This guide explores how these updates can be used to your advantage when farming through Delirium maps and Simulacrum encounters, and details strategies for maximising profit in this new environment.

Key changes in the patch

Increased Monster Density: Delirium maps now have a higher concentration of monsters, resulting in more opportunities for Splinters and other valuable drops.
Monster Emerge Animation: The removal of the untargetable phase during the emerge animation of Delirium monsters makes these encounters more player-friendly.

Atlas Tree Strategy

General mapping setup: Stick to the basics, but with an emphasis on:
Increased quantity and rarity: These nodes help with more and better quality drops.
Precursor tablet potency: Increases the effect of Precursor tablet on your maps.
Waystone modifiers: More modifiers mean better map results.
Experimentation with Essences: Greater essences have increased in value with the patch, making essence nodes more lucrative.

Delirium passive tree

Simulacrum points:
First tier:
"Mirrors" for additional shattering mirrors or "Get Out of My Head" for a chance to obtain waystones with pre-instilled emotions.
Second tier:
"Would You Like to See My Face?" doubles the difficulty scaling, but also doubles the shard drop rate.
Third Tier:
"They're Coming to Get You" increases the spawn of unique bosses and pauses the delirium timer when killing rare monsters, increasing splinter collection.

Mapping strategy

Instilling Emotions:
Emotions used:
Ire and Guilt: These are more cost effective as they increase the number of magic monsters or pack size.
Greed: It increases rarity, but it's less critical with naturally high rarity setups.
Combine mechanics:
Ritual with Delirium: Use ritual precursor tablets to use both mechanics for double cash generation, as delirium monsters can also contribute to ritual tributes.

Simulacrum encounter tips:

Character optimisation:
Survivability: Use skills such as Shock Siphon for increased survivability, and manage your mana with gems such as Recover Mana on Kill.
Defence:
Energy Shield: Focus on fast recharge and high energy shield caps.
Stun and Freeze Resistance: Invest in jewels that increase your thresholds to prevent incapacitation.
Progression: Start with lower difficulty levels if the higher ones are overwhelming, and slowly scale up as you tweak your build for tougher challenges.
