Chest Piece:
Why: The chest provides the highest base energy shield, which, when converted to mana by Eldritch Battery, scales your spell damage via the increased spell damage per 100 maximum mana mechanic.
Stats to look for: Prioritise high Energy Shield, with additional bonuses to spell or lightning damage for optimal results. o
Focus (Folky):
Role: Similar to the chest, aim for high Energy Shield, mana, spell damage and casting speed. This piece can also help balance your resistances.
Effect: A well-chosen focus can increase your damage by nearly 40K, significantly altering the effectiveness of your build.
Rings:
Key stats: Look for maximum Mana, Casting Speed, Mana Regeneration and Lightning damage to synergize with your skills.
Synergy: Rings increase damage when worn with the Ingenuity Belt, which amplifies the percentage increases from the rings.
Ingenuity Belt:
Function: The
Ingenuity belt is crucial as it scales the bonuses from your rings, making it a cornerstone of high damage output.
Stats to consider: Aim for at least a 60-80% increase in the effect of modifiers on equipped rings to see a significant increase in damage.
Jewellery:
Optimal stats: Focus on spell damage, energy shield, casting speed and the amount of shock you can apply.
Shock Mechanics: Increasing the amount of shock you apply will increase the damage you take to enemies, although these benefits may not be fully reflected in damage tooltips.
Additional strategies
Shock Siphon: Valuable for utility, providing control over enemies even if it doesn't directly increase your DPS on paper.
Mana on Kill: Essential for mana sustain, allowing you to maintain high damage output with frequent skill use.
