With new Atlas nodes in 0.2, Essence farming guarantees spawns in nearly every map, making it a consistent mechanic. However, low market demand and rare Corrupted Essence drops limit profits, so this strategy shines for SSF crafting or as a supplementary income source alongside other mechanics.  

To maximize Essence spawns and value, spec your Atlas tree as follows (using ~10-12 of your 40 points):  

Core Nodes: Take all Essence Chance small nodes (4x +40%, total 160%) and Crystalline Growth (+100%) for a base 260% increased chance to spawn Essences.  

Energetic Essences: Prioritizes high-value essences (attack, chaos, physical, speed), like Essence of Haste, which sells for ~1 Exalted Orb.  

Resonant Lattice & Harmonic Corruption: Boosts chances for additional corruptions on Essence monsters, increasing odds of Greater or Corrupted Essences (e.g., Hysteria or Delirium, 2-5 Exalted).  

Merging Worlds: +20% chance for Essence monsters to have extra Essences, upping quantity per encounter.  

Azmeri Experience: +20% Essence spawn chance, pushing total to ~280%.
