by        Game: Path of Exile 2 Guide        Tags: PoE2 Market Report

Welcome back, Exiles! This is your Path of Exile 2 (PoE2) Dawn of the Hunt League currency exchange report for Week 2, dated April 17, 2025, marking the 13th day since the league's launch. With players now deep into endgame content, the economy is taking shape. This report analyzes the latest exchange rates, compares them with last week (April 9, 2025) and last season's equivalent day (December 19, 2024, Standard League), and explores key market trends.
This season, GGG's adjustments to currency drop rates have fostered a more balanced economy compared to last season's turmoil. Notably, last season's patch 0.1.0e on December 19 triggered a dramatic market collapse, with Divine Orbs soaring past 200 Exalts and reaching 500+ by season's end. This season, stability is the name of the game—let's break it down!

PoE2 Currency Ratio in Exalted Orb – Dawn of the Hunt League (April 17, 2025)

Note: All data is sourced from the official PoE2 trade market. Fracturing Orbs, introduced in Season 0.2.0, lack last season's data and are excluded from certain comparisons.

PoE2 Market Observations & Trends - Dawn of the Hunt

Divine Orbs: Rapid Rise with Lingering Distrust

Divine Orbs jumped from 53 to 88 Exalted Orbs this week, driven by their role in high-end trades. Last season, Divines were far more volatile: 6 Exalts on December 15, 28 on December 16, and 38 on December 19. That same day, patch 0.1.0e flooded the market with currency, causing Divines to skyrocket past 200 Exalts within days and hit 500+ by season's end. Having experienced last season's chaos, players this season have less confidence in Exalted Orbs, leading to a near-100 Exalt-to-Divine ratio in just two weeks. GGG's tighter drop rates this season have kept the market in check, but Divine volatility remains a concern.

Chaos Orbs: The Emerging Stable Asset

Chaos Orbs surged from 1.35 to 3.5 Exalted Orbs this week, a stark contrast to last season's stable 1 Exalt. Unlike Divine Orbs, which fueled last season's economic collapse, Chaos Orbs show steady demand in mid-tier trades and crafting. This season, medium-value transactions are increasingly favoring Chaos Orbs, suggesting they could become a more reliable asset. Their controlled supply and practical utility position them as a hedge against Divine volatility.

Crafting Currencies in High Demand

Fracturing Orbs (new this season) rose from 5 to 9.5 Exalted Orbs, reflecting their importance in endgame crafting.
Orbs of Annulment climbed from 2.85 to 8 Exalted Orbs, driven by low drop rates and heavy gear optimization needs.
Gemcutter's Prisms ticked up from 2.5 to 3 Exalted Orbs, tied to players prioritizing skill upgrades.

Jeweller's Orbs: Early-Game Ease vs. Endgame Scarcity

Lesser Jeweller's Orbs dropped from 0.166 to 0.042 Exalted Orbs, likely due to increased early-game drops from recent updates.
Greater and Perfect Jeweller's Orbs soared to 32 and 211 Exalted Orbs (from 26 and 98), fueled by endgame socket crafting demands.

Mirror of Kalandra: A Luxury Benchmark

Mirrors entered circulation at 565 Divine Orbs, far above last season's 200 Divine Orbs, highlighting their rarity in this season's constrained economy.

Smaller Currencies: Mixed Movements

Orbs of Alchemy fell from 1.36 to 0.625 Exalted Orbs, possibly due to reduced early-game demand.
Glassblower's Baubles rose from 0.1 to 0.31 Exalted Orbs, indicating flask optimization needs.
Armourer's Scrap and Vaal Orbs also increased, reflecting active gear crafting.

Last Season's Collapse as Context

Last season's 0.1.0e patch on December 19 unleashed an oversupply of currency, obliterating market stability. This season's controlled drop rates have prevented such extremes, fostering confidence in Chaos Orbs as a stable trading medium.

Looking Ahead

As the Dawn of the Hunt League progresses, Divine Orbs may continue rising but are unlikely to reach last season's 500+ Exalt peak, thanks to GGG's balanced approach. Chaos Orbs, with their steady climb and growing role in medium-value trades, are poised to become this season's most reliable currency—a stark contrast to last season's Divine-driven chaos. Crafting currencies like Fracturing Orbs and Perfect Jeweller's Orbs will likely remain volatile as endgame demand intensifies. Keep an eye on the market as these trends unfold!
