The Main Vibe: Speed Beats All

Out of 1,000 racers, 156 crossed the finish line - which means they didn't just touch it, they took Doryani down. Times ranged from 2h 28m to 8h+, but the top 15? All under 3h 41m. That's not luck - that's calculated chaos. These speed demons are guinea pigs for the meta, showing us what flies in a new league. So what's the trick?
Angormus: The Warrior Who Broke the Game
Angormus took first place with a wild 2h 28m 37s-40 minutes ahead of second place! Level 28, 3.6M XP - this Warrior didn't grind, he ran. Rumour has it that Shield Bash and Leap Slam have turned him into a mob-skipping ninja in level 40+ zones. No RIPs here - Angormus rewrote the rules with a razor-sharp path and no fat. That 40-minute lead? It screams: ditch the grind, beat the boss.
Levels Are A Lie: Efficiency Over XP
Act 3 zones climb past 40, but the top 15 clear at 28-39, clustering around 38-39. Warriors like Angormus and Lundburgerr were laughing at 28! If you're struggling to 45 because "it's the zone level", you're wasting time. Gear is the real MVP - grab some armour or resist from drops and you're set. The 156 finishers averaged under 40, with a high of 42. The takeaway? Stop chasing XP and start chasing efficiency.
One night, one shot
The 156 ranged from 3hrs to 8hrs, with the top dogs clocking in under 3hrs 41m. That's an after-work sprint - 6pm to midnight, done. In SSF, where gear is a roll of the dice, this pace is madness. Throw in Trade League buddies and Act 1-3 melts away even faster. It's not a dream - it's doable with the right moves.

Class deep dive: Who's hot, who's not?

Let's slice up the 156 finishers and see what classes are cooking.

Popularity Cake (Base Classes)

Witch: 23.7% (37 finishers)
Warrior: 16.0% (25 finishers)
Mercenary: 16.0% (25 finishers)
Ranger: 13.5% (21 entrants)
Monk: 13.5% (21 finishers)
Sorceress: 11.5% (18 finishers)
Witch is the fan favourite - 23.7%, almost double Sorceress' 11.5%. But don't be fooled - the prizes were class-specific, so people were scattering for a chance at the loot. This isn't "all classes equal" - Witch's Edge screams early game power, perhaps Minions or DoTs tearing through mobs. Sorceress and Monk - tougher to get going, huh?

Ascension picks: Power vs. Time

For those brave enough to face the trials of Sekhema:
Infernalist (Witch): 14% Ascension - huge detour, massive payoff.
Deadeye (Ranger): 5.8% have taken the plunge - solid, less hyped.
Chronomancer (Sorceress), Blood Mage (Witch), Gemling Legionnaire (Mercenary): Barely touched speedrun poison.
Infernalist and Deadeye are gold racers who bet time on them and won big, probably with AoE or crit spikes. Chronomancer and crew? Slow as molasses - skip them unless you like pain.

Clear levels: Strength Tanks, Squishies Grind

Warrior: 37 (lowest)
Mercenary: 38
Monk: 38
Witch: 39
Ranger: 40
Sorceress: 40
A Strength trio (Warrior, Mercenary, Monk) is easily 37-38. Strength's armour and HP shrug off early hits from junk gear. Ranger and Sorceress need 40 Squishy before Energy Shield kicks in. Witch at 39 rides minions to glory. Warriors dropping a level (37 vs. 38) saves 30-60 minutes of grinding. Time Hack, unlocked!

Speedrun hacks: What we're stealing

Warrior's Revenge Arc
Early PoE 2 haters called Warrior trash - leader says no. Four top-15 spots, Angormus at 2h 28m - armour blocks chip damage, Shield Bash and Leap Slam skip the riffraff. Endgame may humble them, but Act 3? They're royalty. Grab this for league starts - Warrior's your rocket.
Dump the Grind, Win the Day
Top times = low levels. Angormus (28), Allex_CATW (30)-Leveling up to 40+ is a rookie move. Slap on a decent weapon, stack armour and bee-line Doryani. The 156 prove 38-39 is the zone hours saved by skipping the XP farms.
Ascension bets that pay off
Infernalists (4, 5, 15) and Deadeyes shine despite the trial tax. Big damage or utility cuts are worth the risk. Chronomancer and friends? Clumsy and slow - don't touch them in a race.
Strength crushes SSF RNG
Warrior, Mercenary, Monk - Strength classes eat SSF chaos for breakfast. Junk gear? No problem - they tank it. Ranger and Sorceress limp without scaling - Witch's minions cheat the system, but Strength is the early king.

Your cheat sheet: Crush the next league

Go for strength: Warrior's speed king armour and mobility (Shield Bash, Leap Slam) dodge the grind. Mercenary or Monk? Tanky backups that roll with RNG hits.
Skip the rubbish: Angormus didn't punch every mob - and neither should you. Learn the fast route to Doryani and stick to it.
Gear > Levels: Hit 38-39 with drops (armour, resists) - 45 is a time sink. Efficiency is your god.
Ascend wisely: Infernalist or Deadeye if you're slick - big boosts, small cost. Chronomancer is a trap pass.
One-Night Blitz: 3h-4h is really a no-break grind, done by midnight. Trade League? Team up and shred faster.

What's coming?

This meta is green, but it's going to evolve. Race 2 will shift as players get smarter - smarter skips, sharper builds. Keep an eye out for these changes - they will reveal more secrets. For now, this ladder is your golden ticket to rise above the herd in Path of Exile 2's next league. Hit the ground running, tweak your game, and let's see if you can make it to the top!

Thanks for reading
