The Legacy of Phrecia event for Path of Exile 1 drops February 20th, 2025, and Grinding Gear Games (GGG) has unveiled the last pre-launch updates. Alongside Idol system tweaks and a player rivalry, they've revealed Small Nodes for all 19 new ascendancies. Here's the full scoop, plus gold-making strategies for surviving the chaos.
All 19 Ascendancy Small Nodes Revealed
Here's the complete list of Small Nodes for all 19 ascendancies, as detailed in the video:
Scavenger: +1 Classic Passive Skill Point per node. Simple, reliable power boost.
Aristocrat: +1 Classic Passive Skill Point per node. Consistent value for any build.
Paladin: 5% increased effect of non-curse auras (20% total). Aura builds soar—near ascendancy-tier strength.
Gambler: 5% increased item rarity (20% total). Decent for mapping, less impactful than POE 2 rarity.
Peltast: 0.5% life regen per second (2% total). Solid sustain, goes well with his tanky kit.
Daughter of Ashabi: 10% increased shrine buff effect + 10% dodge rating. Thematic and useful for shrine-focused builds.
Whisperer: 10% increased attack damage + 6% max mana. Stellar for its damage scaling focus.
Wildspeaker: 3% movement speed increase + minion damage. Highest speed, minion bonus varies by build.
Blind Prophet: 10% crit multiplier + 10% stealth. Crit shines, stealth is niche (reduces detection radius).
Servant of Urukar: 33% increased chaos damage + 15% minion damage. Great individually, rarely both at once.
Surfcaster: 5% chance to cause monsters to flee + 10% fish rarity. Flee is weak (mitigated by freezes), fish stat value TBD.
Bog Shaman: 7% chaos resistance + 5% curse effect. Strong defensive/offensive duo—elevates this ascendancy.
Herald: 5% increased Herald buff effect + 10% Herald skill damage. Lackluster for Herald of Agony; better for elemental Heralds.
Harbinger: 10% energy shield recharge rate + 10% mana regen. Niche but potent for spell-loop builds.
Polytheist: 5% increased global defenses + light radius. Broadly useful, lacks punch unless Ward-focused.
Puppeteer: 7% chaos resistance + 10% minion max life. Perfect for zombie detonation builds—hilarious chaos ensues.
Architect of Chaos: 4% max life + 10% chance for Vaal soul on kill. Tanky and Vaal-friendly—top-tier combo.
Behemoth: 10% armor + 3% strength. Decent stats can't save this weak ascension.
Antiquarian: 10% increased global defenses (50% with five nodes). Ward synergy makes it a defensive beast - 150% total with uniques.
Notes: Most nodes offer four instances (e.g. 20% total rarity for Gambler), but Antiquarian shines with five nodes (50%) due to Ward scaling. Behemoth lags despite okay stats.
Gold-Making Strategies
Maximize your gold haul during the event:
Idol Trading: Farm Tier 16/17 cards for high-level Idols, recombine trash into rares, and sell early. Rare mods fetch premiums on day one.
Sanctum Tomes: List Tomes 5–10% above average post-rivalry hype. Low profit, low risk.
Gold Farming: Juice tier 16/17 cards with scarabs - 100,000 gold in 2-3 runs for vets. Sell excess or gamble on the black market.
Gear Sales: Craft/sell ward gear (Antiquarian), aura items (Paladin), or life-on-block shields (Gambler). Early demand spikes.
