This guide provides detailed strategies for defeating Xesht, the Breach boss found in the Twisted Domain in Path of Exile 2. Ice projectiles
Appearance: White hand sprouting ice.
Strategy:
Dodge or block builds can easily tank this.
Otherwise, keep your distance for better dodge opportunities.
Use a freeze immunity spell to prevent being chilled or frozen.
Combined attack
Visual: Both ash and ice hands appear at the same time.
Strategy: Treat each hand as a separate threat and decide whether to dodge into or out of the effects.
Floating Hand Slam
Visual: Slow moving hand in the air with a purple telegraph before slamming down.
Strategy:
High movement speed is crucial; dodge to the side of the hand's shadow to minimise the distance travelled.
Watch the shadow to anticipate the position of the slam.
Fire Orb
Visual: Orange orb above Xesht's head.
Strategy: Simply move away from the front of the boss while continuing to deal damage.
Finger Gun
Visual: Right hand in a shooting motion with a sound cue.
Strategy:
Very slow; run circles around Xesht to avoid him.
If it overlaps with other mechanics, use line of sight behind walls, but prioritise staying close for damage.
Double AOE shots
Visual: Purple glow on shoulders before three shots.
Strategy: Stay close and run in circles, strafing can help dodge all shots.
Burrowing and slicing
Visual: Xesht burrows, becomes invulnerable and chases the player.
Strategy: Run in wide circles and dodge the roll just before the ground slice.
Phase change at 50% HP
Visual: Purple portal above Xesht.
Strategy: Safe time to deal damage; Xesht is stationary.
Stage 2 - Portal Arms
Visual: Arms coming down from portals.
Strategy:
Dodge or run away from the slam areas.
Timing dodge rolls can be crucial as the attack speeds up as the difficulty increases.
Difficulty scaling
Xesht starts with 6 million HP at difficulty 0, gaining 6 million per difficulty level up to 32 million at difficulty +4.
The number of portals in phase 2 increases with difficulty, up to four at difficulty 4.
