Mechanics
Item rarity: Only for use on magic items that can have up to two modifiers. An
Orb of Augmentation adds a second modifier to items with only one.
Result: Randomly adds either a prefix or suffix.
Crafting Strategy
Early Game: Highly effective for quick gear upgrades, adding a second beneficial modifier without the need for rare crafting materials.
Mid to late game: Less effective as more advanced crafting options become available, but still useful for on-the-spot upgrades or pushing gear to its limits for short-term use.
