Zul'Aman Timed Chest and Amani War Bear in TBC Classic
The Zul'Aman raid
features a collaborative timed event that rewards numerous unique spoil
particulars, including grand position armor, rings, munitions, and the coveted
Amani War Bear mount. This companion will give an overview of the event's
conditions and timeline splits.

Zul'Aman Timed Chest Objects
Your charge is to
master the four Loa heads in Zul'Aman within 45 twinkles of starting the event
Akil'zon (Eagle), Nalorakk (Bear), Jan'alai (Dragonhawk), and Halazzi (Lynx).
This allows you to free one hostage, and there are four cases awarded as a
result.
1. First Hostage Casket-Level 128 armor
2. Alternate
Hostage Casket-Level 132 munitions
3. Third Hostage
Casket-Level 151 rings
4. Fourth Hostage
Casket-Level 151 rings, Amani War Bear
While the Amani War Bear is a 100 drop from the final casket, there's only one per casket. Only one person completing this per attempt will get this mount.
You'll need a
veritably well-coordinated, primarily geared platoon. While T6 gear is not
required, full T5 gear at least is a must-have.
You do not start
with 45 twinkles; 25 twinkles need to be earned.
Due to the pace,
there is no time to have breaks to sit and drink/ eat. Drink snappily the
moment you are out of combat with a master, but you will have to play this
catch-as-catch-can.
Full consumables
are also needed since you'll have to be chain-pulling constantly.
Practice makes
perfect. Utmost groups won't get this on the first pass. Indeed for those who
did this reverse" in the day."
Utmost groups
also follow these rules.
Do not free any
hostages, maraud anything, or open cases until the event is over. Spoil rolls
waste time.
Agree on spoil rules from the launch. The Amani War Bear is a particularly sought-after prize, but the other prices are also excellent.
Starting the Run
You need to talk
to Harrison Jones to open the case to start the run. Make sure you're wholly
buff and all applicable consumables taken before hitting that gong! Once the
event has begun, and the doors opened, the first timekeeper starts-- you have
20 twinkles to master the first Loa master. This event starts for everyone;
it's just that utmost groups will not indeed try for it.
It does not count which master you start with, but realize that only two of the beast heads add redundant time to your timepiece
.Akil'zon
(Eagle)-kill extends timekeeper by ten twinkles
Nalorakk (
Bear)-kill extends timekeeper by 15 twinkles
Jan'alai
(Dragonhawk) and Halazzi (Lynx) don't add redundant time
For this reason, the utmost groups choose to take out the Eagle and Bear heads first. Due to the inflow of the raid chart, the usual order is Eagle, Bear, Dragonhawk, ending with Lynx. This also makes sure that the two time-extending heads are taken out in the morning, which gives you a better idea of your overall time.
While these will
vary a nanosecond or two, typical" time check" splits for these heads
are as follows. You can shift a nanosecond or two on these without risking
much. However, you'll need to upgrade your strategy
, If you are not
hitting close to these splits, clear both the trash and the master in each
section.Akil'zon (Eagle)-5-7 twinkles
Nalorakk
(Bear)-12-13 twinkles
Jan'alai
(Dragonhawk)-9-11 twinkles
Halazzi (Lynx)
12-15 twinkles (4-5 twinkles for master)
Once you've completed a couple of practice runs, you will now know where you need to ease your times and where you are doing what you should. Focus on the problem master, and you will be completing these under the limit in no time.
