Encounter Mechanics Overview
If you are hit by any attacks in this encounter, you will be debuffed with a damage-over-time effect and a stacking trauma debuff. This debuff makes players vulnerable to subsequent attack damage, resulting in a concussion that stuns them for a short time. Avoiding all unnecessary damage is crucial to preventing fatal stuns.
General Tips
Debuffs and Stuns: Avoid getting hit to prevent trauma and concussions.
Boss Body Language: Pay attention to the boss's body language to predict and dodge attacks.
Boss Mechanics
Alert Text and Wind Circles: When the boss flies over the platform in a circle, move to the center to avoid the room-wide donut attack.
Edge Attack: When the boss glows and rears up at the edge, move out of melee range to avoid the point-blank circle attack.
Beak Energy: When the boss builds up energy in its beak, move to the front two corners to avoid the massive frontal cleave through the center.
Sky Ruin: Snow Phase
Avalanches are indicated by arrows on either side of the platform. Move to the opposite side to avoid being hit and knocked back.
Freezing Dust: All players must be moving at the end of the cast to avoid being frozen in place. An avalanche will occur simultaneously.
Ice Spheres: These explode in a starburst pattern. Avoid lining up with the circles or lines of the explosion. Players hit will be encased in ice boulders that others need to break.
Disaster Zone: Ends the mini phase, returning the platform to average and dealing high raid-wide damage. Healers, be ready.
Sky Ruin: Lightning Storm Phase
Glowing Tiles: Levitate players standing on them.
Thunderous Breath: This covers the entire platform but can be avoided by levitating.
Hail of Feathers: Four feathers drop, dealing damage to non-levitating players. Lightning clouds target feathers and levitating players. Move off the tiles to stop levitating and avoid lightning explosions.
Lightning Spheres: They are spawned on one edge, creating a safe lane. Move into it to avoid getting hit.
Disaster Zone: Ends the phase, returning the platform to normal.
Special Mechanics
Ruin Fall: Shared pillar tank buster in the center, three tornado circles at the back, and a knockback from the boss. Tanks soak the pillar; others move away and use knockback immunity or preposition to avoid tornadoes.
Ruin Foretold: Deals massive raid-wide damage. Healers, be ready.
Elemental Beacons: Three beacons charge up the boss's gauge meter. Destroy them before it hits 100 to avoid a wipe. Shared damage line-up markers target healers. Move together, burn down the beacons, and dodge the conal attacks.
Tuli Disaster: Deals damage based on the gauge meter. Use group shields, cooldowns, and heals.
Ongoing Mechanics
Perpetual Configuration: Deals damage over time and increases damage taken until the boss is defeated.
Eruption: Targets three players for three sets of ground attacks. Move away to avoid.
Repeated Phases and Overlaps
Sky Ruin: Ice Mini Phase: Dodge avalanches and ice sphere explosions and break out frozen players. Keep watching for the boss's extra attack.
Freezing Dust: Coincides with ice sphere explosions. Keep moving in safe spots to avoid being frozen.
Ice Talon: Targets the top two enmity players with heavy-hitting tank busters. Move away, use cooldowns, and heal as necessary.
Sky Ruin: Thunder Mini Phase: Dodge into the safe lane and ensure levitation to avoid the boss's breath attack.
From here on, all mechanics will repeat until the boss is down.
