Farm Shoulder Enchants Fast in WoW SoD Phase 7

by        Game: WOW Classic Season Of Discovery Guide        Tags: Shoulder Enchants

Phase 7 of World of Warcraft's Season of Discovery has arrived, and the new Shoulder Enchants are the shiny toys everyone's been chasing. These bad boys require five Argent Dawn Valor Tokens each, and you can get them by trading in Scourge Stones from the Scourge Invasion event - or better yet, by going to Stratholme for a quick and reliable haul. If you're looking to stack three Enchants an hour without breaking a sweat, this guide has got your back. Let's dive into a no-nonsense farming route that's all about efficiency, with a side of gold and loot to sweeten the deal.

Why Stratholme? Guaranteed tokens, no fuss

Each Shoulder Enchant costs five tokens, and you can exchange 20 Minions, 10 Invaders, or a Corruptor Scourge Stone for a token at the Chapel of Light's Hope. The Scourge Invasion's necrotic runes (15 per token) are fine, but Stratholme's service entrance offers a faster grind. Two bosses - Balafon and The Unforgiven - drop guaranteed Corruptor Stones, and with five runs per hour, you'll hit 15 tokens like clockwork. There's also bonus loot and gold to fill your pockets with. Here's how you do it.

The route: Bosses, rubbish and timing

Entry Point: Sneak in through Stratholme's service entrance - no fuss, straight to the action.
Boss 1 - Balafon: A few packs in, this guy's chilling in a corner. Kill him for two Corruptor Stones, an Epic item and three Tarnished Undermine Reals (first kill of the day). Takes about five minutes.
Boss 2 - The Unforgiven: Right next door, easy to nuke. Drops a Corruptor Stone, blue loot and a Real (first kill of the day). Another quick win.
Timing: Clear trash, kill both bosses, reset - 9.5 to 10 minutes per run. Five runs = one hour, 15 stones, three enchantments. Done.
Bonus tip: If Hearthsinger Forresten spawns near the path, he's a free fourth stone. Equip your Argent Dawn trinket to ensure a drop.

Clear the rubbish: Watch out for these mobs.

You'll have to plough through some trash packs to get to the bosses. Stealth is tricky - the mobs see through it like hawks - so plan to fight. Here's what to look for:
Berserkers: They kick and lock you out of a spell school for six seconds. Prioritise them if nature is your healing lifeline.
Ravaged Cadavers: These spawn a low health exploding henchman (1,200 damage). Snipe the spawn with a quick spell.
Diseases: Cadaver Worms (150 damage/10 sec, -100% regen) and Ghoul Plague (-20% speed, -25% damage) stack. Buff or cleanse if you can.
Eye of Naxxramas: Stealthy and stealthy. Kill it quickly or it will summon Gargoyles to ruin your day.
Kill the first AOE pack at the gate, skip the next two, then pull back the packs from the second gate to kite with AOE spells. Leave the giant patchwork horrors - they patrol far and wide and eat cooldowns.

Gear and Prep: Surviving the Grind

Good PvP gear makes this a breeze - no consumables needed. If you're rocking PvE or mixed gear, grab a Flask of the Titans or Old God for stamina. It will cut into your profits but keep you alive. For runes, go for AOE like Starfall (cape) and defensive options like Improved Barkskin (helm) or Survival Instincts (boots). Eclipse (waist) and Starsurge (legs) will boost damage tweaks to your spec.

Bonus loot: Gold and Goodies

An hour brings more than just tokens:
50+ gold from raw drops and vendor trash.
6+ stacks of runecloth (worth a few gold each on AH).
20+ Bone Fragments (sell or trade for Insignia).
Extra Minion/Invader stones for a possible fourth enchantment.
It's a tidy profit on top of your main goal.

Stealth option? Maybe, but risky

Sneaking past the rubbish sounds clever, but Strath's mobs are unforgiving. A few points of Feral Instinct might help druids or rogues sneak past, if you're brave enough. For most, clearing is safer and quicker in the long run.

Quick takeaway for players

This Stratholme run is your ticket to three Shoulder Enchants per hour - 15 tokens guaranteed. It's easy, it's profitable, and it beats chasing invasion spawns. Gear up, hit reset, and watch the enchants stack up!
