How to Access Early Access

Purchase a Key: You can join the Early Access by purchasing a supporter pack starting at $30. Keys are available for immediate redemption once purchased.

Long-Time Supporters: Players who have spent $480 or more on Path of Exile over the years are eligible for free Early Access keys. GGG will reach out to these players via email over the next two weeks. Purchases are cumulative, so multiple smaller transactions adding up to $480 qualify.

If you are unsure of your spending history, you can check your account transactions through the Path of Exile website. Online calculators are also available to total your purchases.

No Progress Wipes During Early Access

One of the key aspects of PoE2's Early Access is no character wipes:
Characters created during Early Access will persist in a special "Early Access League" even after the official launch.
New leagues may be introduced, but Early Access characters will never transfer to the main Standard League, ensuring a fresh economy and balance when the full game is released.

Standalone Client and Steam Integration

PoE2 will support both a standalone client and Steam for its Early Access phase. Players will have the freedom to choose their preferred platform to play.

What's Included in Early Access?

GGG has promised a robust experience during Early Access, comparable to or even exceeding Path of Exile 1's current state. Here's what you can expect:
- Vast content, including new leagues and mechanics.
- A variety of ascendancies, skills, and balance updates to explore.
- Shared microtransactions between PoE1 and PoE2 for items and cosmetics where applicable.

Microtransactions and Compatibility

Shared MTX: Cosmetics and items purchased in PoE1 will carry over to PoE2, provided the items exist in both games (e.g., skill-specific effects for skills shared between games).
Content-Specific Items: Some items, such as blight-related stash tabs, may be repurposed or unavailable in PoE2 if the related mechanics do not exist.
Platform Restrictions: Items purchased on platforms like PlayStation remain tied to that ecosystem and cannot be used on other platforms.

No NDA for Early Access

GGG has confirmed there will be no NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) for Early Access. Players can stream, share, and discuss their experiences freely.

Supporter Packs and Unique Opportunities

In addition to the $30 entry-level supporter pack, higher tiers will be available for players who want to support the game further.
These packs often include exclusive microtransactions, in-game items, and other perks.
GGG has hinted at the possibility of purchasing unique item or divination card designs, a long-standing tradition in Path of Exile's community. Pricing for these customizations is yet to be announced but will likely be in high demand.
