ESO Update 45: Top Gold-Making Items

       by        Game: ESO Guide

Update 45 has rolled out for The Elder Scrolls Online on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, and it's a goldmine waiting to be tapped. Sure, the refreshed starter zones and Green Tree passives are cool, but let's talk real loot: new furnishing plans and drops that can pad your wallet with millions—if you play it right. This isn't about grinding until your eyes bleed; it's about smart farming and flipping items while they're hot. Here's how to rake in the gold with Update 45's freshest additions, no fluff, just profit.

West Weald Dailies: Double-Dip on Furnishings

Head to Skingrad in West Weald (grab the DLC if you haven't—it's worth it now at a discount). The daily quests here—world boss, Mirrormoor incursions, and delve runs—drop a Skingrad Reward Coffer with a shot at nine new furnishing plans. Pick them up from the legionaries marked on your map; they're quick, sharable, and repeatable across characters.
Why bother? These plans sell big early in the patch, and the Mirrormoor daily doubles your haul with a chance at six new Mirrormoor-themed recipes. Craft the furnishings if you've got the mats—sometimes they fetch more than the plans themselves, especially with Colovian vibes trending hard. I've seen players flip these for tens of thousands in the first week—don't sleep on it.

Mirrormoor Mosaics: Solo Farming Goldmine

Not into dailies? Run Mirrormoor mosaics solo. These are the glowing incursions around Skingrad—think Dolmens but flashier. Spot the active one (two swords crossing on the map), teleport to the nearest wayshrine, and join the crowd already farming. You're after those six Mirrormoor recipes, plus a bonus: West Weald Legion motifs from Update 44 still sell decently.
These excursions are low-effort and high-reward—perfect for a chill grind. The recipes might not hit Ayleid-level prices, but they're steady earners, especially if you snag them before the market floods.

Ayleid Recipes: The Million-Gold Jackpot

Here's the big one: 14 new Ayleid-themed recipes from antiquity excavations in West Weald, Gold Coast, and Blackwood. These drop as bonus loot on intermediate (blue) or higher digs, and they're rare—think Ayleid bookcase rare, which still goes for millions. Luck's a factor, but the payoff's insane.
For Gold Coast, farm the Charella lead from chests and mobs, or the Golden Idol of Mori from Tribune's Folly world boss. In West Weald, treasure maps are your ticket—dig up purple Ayleid items and pray for a plan. Blackwood's tapestry pieces (blue or higher) or the Z'en Idol from safeboxes and nodes work too. Got mythic leads undone? Now's the time—those digs boost your odds. These plans are the patch's crown jewels—sell fast for peak profit.

Colovian Bed Canopy: Quick Container Cash

The Colovian Bed Canopy, Full drops from monsters and containers across West Weald. Best spot? The Outcast Inn basement in Skingrad. It's packed with wardrobes and backpacks—loot, exit via the back door (loading screen), re-enter, repeat. It's a classic farming loop that's been gold since the zone dropped.
This plan won't break the bank like Ayleids, but early flips can net you a tidy sum. It's low-stakes, high-speed, and perfect for a quick Gil boost between bigger hauls.

Master Writ Furnishings: Steady Gains

Seven new master writ furnishings are up for grabs from Rolis Hlaalu with writ vouchers. These aren't the flashiest earners—anyone with vouchers can snag them—but they're a reliable flip, especially in the update's opening days. Buy low, sell high while demand's fresh. It's not millions, but it's consistent gold for minimal effort if you're already swimming in vouchers.

Timing Is Everything

Patch drops like Update 45 are a gold rush—prices peak early, then crash as supply grows. Ayleid plans might hit millions day one but drop to thousands in a month. West Weald dailies and Mirrormoor runs shine brightest now, so farm hard and list fast. Use guild traders, check prices, and don't hoard too long—strike while the iron's hot.

Bonus Perks in Update 45

While you're at it, the Golden Pursuits Cyrodiil campaign dishes out Alliance Points—great for flipping AP-bought items. PC players can test the new Cyrodiil campaign too, and a Crime Wave mini-event (date TBD) promises thieving bonuses. Fence those extra boxes from Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild dailies for a nice side hustle.
