The Nightveil Hallow event kicks off in any main city. Look for the NPC near a cauldron in the town center, where you can start a questline leading to the event's world boss. The initial quest is simple: you'll only need to defeat the world boss, Basu, once to unlock maximum reputation and gain access to the event shop. After completing this, you can start farming materials, completing quests, and shopping for event-specific items and buffs.

The world boss, Baalphazu, appears across several northern areas on the map, such as Morningdale, Weaver's Fen, Brightwood, and Eboncale Reach. Use the map to spot Basu's current spawn point, marked with a skull icon. Joining groups is common and can make the fight more manageable, as the number of players scales. Watch the recruitment chat for groups, or type "X" in chat to join a raid.

The fight with Baalphazu involves some straightforward mechanics, primarily AoE abilities. Key to the fight is the use of pumpkin bombs dropped by smaller pumpkin adds. When you throw these at Baalphazu, they deal significant damage and help break his stamina. Once his stamina breaks, Baalphazu takes increased damage, and if you have enough players throwing pumpkins, you can often keep him staggered, making the fight quicker and easier.

One of the most important items from Nightveil Hallow is Ancient Grizzly Gummies, which double the Nightveil tokens you receive for five minutes. Using these gummies before opening your Nightveil crates, which you received from defeating Baalphazu, will maximize your tokens. By doubling tokens, you reduce the number of boss kills needed to buy event items, effectively halving the grind. Additionally, opening only three caches per day can yield extra gold rewards, making it a solid choice if you're low on funds.

Nightveil Hallow introduces four types of candy, each with unique effects. Here's how they break down:

Corrupted Jelly Beans and Angry Earth Candy Fish: These are fun, gimmick items with no major effect on gameplay.

Gear Score Patterns: The shop offers 700 Gear Score patterns with a 3-day cooldown, ideal for leveling trade skills like weaponsmithing or armoring. The armor pattern requires an Armoring skill of 205, making it more suitable for higher-level players or those focused on crafting.

Space Out Crate Openings: Opening three caches daily with Grizzly Gummies active yields extra gold, maximizing the event's monetary benefits.
