Isabella in New World Aeternum's Soul Trial can be a challenging boss, but with the right approach you can easily claim victory. Here's how to tackle her in each of her three phases:

Preparation:

Consumables: Equip health potions and consume HP regeneration foods like hearty meals. Consider attribute-boosting foods when available for an extra edge.

Phase One:

Combat: Isabella's attacks are not particularly damaging during this phase. Focus on DPS rather than defence. You can generally ignore blocking or dodging to get her health down quickly.

Strategy: When her health drops to two bars, she'll teleport to drain spirits. Kill the spirit she's draining to make her targetable again. Use this time to heal if necessary.

Phase Two:

Start: At four health bars, Isabella will stun you while she interacts with Father Russo. Use this time to heal to full health.

New mechanics: She'll fly at you three times, which you can dodge by backing up. Watch out for the blood on the outside paths that will insta-kill you, and stay close to the spiked stairs.

Phase Three:

Environmental Hazard: When Isabella reaches about 1.5 health bars, she will ignite the thorns, flooding the lower area with blood. Climb up the stairs to avoid instant death.

Attacks:

Spin attack: Conserve your health to jump away from her high-damage spin attack.

Wave Attack: Now down to two waves and unblockable, dodge by moving from one side of the arena to the other.

Ground Slam: Less deadly than before, but still requires dodging. Cancels target lock for easier movement.

Final push:

Continue DPS: Keep attacking until Isabella's health is depleted. Without target lock, you can better manage your position relative to her attacks.

Tips for success:

Dodge over the block: Most of Isabella's attacks are better dodged than blocked, especially in the later stages.

Positioning: Stay mobile and use the environment to your advantage, especially in phase three to avoid the deadly blood pool.
