MMOJUGG wants to share my most reliable gold-making method in World of Warcraft
Cataclysm Classic Phase 2 today. I use this method almost every day when I log in, and the best part is that you can do it in your main city while waiting for queues or other activities. There's no need to venture out into the world!
Prepare:
To get started, you'll need jewel crafting and Enchanting professions. Jewelcrafting should be maxed out, while Enchanting needs at least Cataclysm level to disenchant Cataclysm items. The strategy I will describe is known as the "JC Shuffle."
Step-by-Step:
1. Acquire Elementium Ore
First, head to the auction house and purchase Elementium Ore. Aim to buy it at 1.5 gold per ore or less. For this example, I started with just under 9,400 gold and spent about 500 gold on Elementium Ore.
2. Prospect the Ore
Next, prospect all the Elementium Ore to break it down into various gems. To speed up this process, you can use the prospecting button, a macro, or an add-on like TradeSkillMaster (TSM).
3. Cut the Rare Gems
After prospecting, you'll be left with a variety of gems. Focus on cutting the rare gems to increase their value. For instance, cutting yellow Amberjewels into Mystic Amberjewels can yield 6 gold each. Similarly, cutting red Inferno Rubies can increase their value from 30 to 55 gold.
4. Craft Rings and Necklaces
Use the lesser gems to craft rings and necklaces. Max-level Jewelcrafters should have the recipes for the Nightstone Choker, Hessonite Band, Alicite Pendant, and Jasper Ring.
5. Disenchant the Jewelry
Send the crafted rings and necklaces to your Enchanting character. Disenchant them to obtain materials like Heavenly Shards, Celestial Essences, and Hypnotic Dust. Combine Celestial Essences into Greater Celestial Essences to save space.
6. Sell the Enchanting Materials
Post all the rare gems and enchanting materials on the auction house. In my example, I converted about 500 gold worth of ore into materials worth around 1,200 gold, effectively more than doubling my investment.
Tips:
Daily Jewelcrafting Quests
Complete the daily Jewelcrafting quest in Stormwind or Orgrimmar to earn Jewelcrafter's Tokens. Use these tokens to buy Chimera's Eye, which can be sold for about 150 gold each, adding up to 1,000 gold per week.
Selling Jeweler's Settings
Buy Jeweler's Settings from the Jewelcrafting supplies vendor and sell them at the auction house. These often sell for 3-4 times the vendor price, as many players are unaware or too lazy to buy them directly from the vendor.
By following this method, you can reliably generate significant gold in
Cataclysm Classic with minimal effort.
